I know that this isn't the first time I've said something like this. I think it might actually be the third time, though the previous two were a pretty long time ago.
And I also know that it tends to not really go anywhere but I'm of the mind that not saying anything is just plainly bad.
For maybe a week, give or take a couple days, I have (though not totally, I'll admit) been getting hardly any interaction, it feels like. I will usually only get something if I sit and post and steadily get frustrated to the point where it's painfully obvious.
Like, I'll post and have my characters do something and then nothing for an hour or more, most of the time. It's a little hard to deal with as I'm trying to actually do stuff and it just gets killed because no one takes me up on it.
I'm not going to make any suggestions or anything as that's generally unproductive as fuq, but I've just gotta ask. Are there any problems people've got with me or anything?
If I am being paranoid, feel free to just tell me that I am, as that would actually be helpful.
Mate, sometimes there comes a point where you just have to shove your character into another character's face just to get something going. Sometimes you need to nudge your characterisation to accommodate this, but if the alternative is being sidelined, there's not much other option.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? You know who was an interesting character? Count Dooku.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?@SR 3 NORMANDY: Was it because of Christopher Lee?
Christopher Lee gave a delightfully subdued and calculated performance, yes, but his character is so interesting.
A Jedi who inherited title over a planet but was forbidden by the Code from claiming it, grew dissatisfied with the Republic Senate's inaction and corruption, left the order in protest, took back his title as Count of his planet and began seeking out like-minded star systems and corporate powers that felt excluded and unprotected by the Republic, fears that were exacerbated during and after the Naboo crisis.
And to top it off, at some stage Palpatine decided he was such a key player, he invited him to his side and trained him in the Dark Side, encouraging his ruthless and calculating side as the two of them drew plans to turn the galaxy against itself and wipe out the Old Republic.
And how does Count Dooku do this? He straight up confesses everything to Obi-Wan, telling him a Sith Lord holds power over the Senate, causing the Jedi to distrust the judgement of the Senate and chafe under the authority they were once totally submitted to. He played them all for fools, except Sidious of course.
Not to mention he is considered the best swordsman of his generation, and effortlessly trounces Obi-Wan, Anakin and fights Yoda to a standstill.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? He's left a little too ambiguous during the movies, yes.
He would have definitely benefited from a presence in the Phantom Menace, so that his betrayal of the Republic and revelation of his Sith ties have a bit of weight.
Honestly, I was not in the slightest bit surprised in the theatres when he pulled out his red lightsaber and started swinging, and I was fucking seven.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?yeah, pretty much any way you look at things, there would have been a strong benefit in either dooku or maul being present throughout the movies
instead of wasting a cool design and physical characterisation by having Maul "die" in the first movie he appears in
and what you said regarding dooku
when I first saw the movie I wasn't even aware it was supposed to be a twist
gotta go now woop
