When Dragon Age: Origins is good, it's fucking fantastic.
When it's bad, it's solid fucking torture that I can barely stomach another moment.
Say what you will about Mass Effect, but at least it has a good sense of pacing and a little less cut-and-paste.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Oh my god, how much longer will this level go? I hate solo dungeons. Rogues aren't built for taking on this many people without someone else to take the heat. At this stage it's trial and error.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Playing Dragon Age.
It was so bad that I literally stopped halfway through to clean the kitchen just to cool off.
Games don't typically enrage me this easily. It's so good, but it gets so monotonous.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? The Fade, during the battle in the Magi Tower.
So much cut and paste, along with arbitrary backtracking to stretch it out. Which was annoying - dream segments should always be short and sweet, and this is anything but.
Plus I'm a Rogue, and really unsuited to fighting solo, even with the shapeshifting. At least it keeps me invested by handing out those permanent stat boosts.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Nope.
Rogues are fantastic in tandem with some heavy hitters, though. It's the solo shit that's tripping me up. Still, I've gotten really creative with these nigh-impossible rooms I'm up to. Bringing down ogres purely as a rogue with some careful stunlocks, trap setting and poisoned weapons. Fighting smart, not hard. I will emerge from this a superior Rogue, sharpened to an atom point.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?I'm just shy of lvl 7. Thinking Assassin. Traps, poison and backstabs are very satisfying.
Also, by dint of playing the game blind, I've only recently learned that enemies go for the highest armour classes party members first. Downscaling my Rogue's armour actually made her more survivable.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

Neither do I.
