That's what he is. He walks around in his people suit and likes pretending he's a human that eats food and doesn't consume souls and isn't a partial gestalt consciousness, but despite the fact that he's successfully remembered enough of his own life to alter his base DNA to a basic default humanoid form he's still just an alien hivemind that's thousands of years old whose central intelligence has been taken over/integrated into by some guy with only the barest understanding of human socialisation anymore.
Have you ever seen The Thing? He was basically that during the events of Deluge. The only reason he actually has a form anymore is because he copied some memories and that triggered enough for him to repair himself. He's come a long way.

He's only about 10% human anymore. That 10% is enough to make a big enough difference so he has four six limbs and skin and basic mammalian features and he isn't starting to backslide again, but that's about it. The thought process and his perception of the world is significantly different, not just including the enhanced senses, and his biology works on a similar but still distinct set of rules. He's still sort of getting used to what he is and what he can do and where he fits in now that he has a chance to exercise it.
So who knows how he'll wind up in five plots or so.

I'm going to be sporadic, and have been, for the rest of this arvo, sorry.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? In a similar vein.
Spaz inspired me to look up some Gjinka stuff.
