alright so
i don't remember it too well so it may be underwhelming
anyway so me, a scottish guy who teaches at the place i had classes in when i went to england this summer, and a bunch of other guys i either don't remember or didn't recognize are working on a sequel to Treasure Planet. the catch is that we are developing it inside a pirate ship just like the ones in the movie. like, all huge and made of wood with lots of corridors and windows and stuff. also not too far away from our ship was captain hook's ship, whom we had a sort of rivalry with, though i didn't see him in the entire dream
in any case at first it is a relatively normal dream where we work on the project, like attempting to turn a tiny metallic sign we had lying around from a previous, unfinished project into one that says "treasure planet" and all that stuff
then at some point in the dream we just decide to turn on the ship's engine and fly away
yes, fly, it was exactly like the ones in the movie
so anyway, while the ship flies away, we are all looking at the lush, green landscape (the dream has gorgeous scenery), discussing whether the film should have songs or not (i reminded them the original had one song), and commenting on how hook will probably send a spy when he sees us fly away. in any case we fly around for a little while, when suddenly we are ambushed by a fucking terrifying, enormous, sentient parade balloon
it's long and it kinda looks like an airdancer, except it has a cubic head with a cross-eyed face on it, and it has bunny ears. it's clearly supposed to be a bunny but the uncanny valey is really strong
the abomination attacks us, all while transforming and distorting his body, twisting in freaky ways, absorbing and regrowing limbs, and other creepy stuff. thankfully, it goes down in a matter of seconds, but unfortunately we crash into a swamp and the ship is destroyed, though we're unscathed
i then learn this is apparently a previous project of us: we tried to make a cute robot-balloon mascot, but it turned out to disturbing and evil. apparently we had later made another slightly different version called "marshie" whose purpose was to be disturbing and evil so we could kick it's ass
it is then when we see the captain hook spy, who has been trailing us from the ground: it is none other than diddy kong, riding a diddy kong racing kart. the little monkey has been traumatized by what he just witnessed, but we console him and he joins us
and then, suddenly, the parade balloon raises from the muddy swamp waters and attacks us once again, looking even creepier. it goes down again
flash forward a month or so
a little girl outside her house is attacked by tiny, evil balloons with smiley faces. she pops one with a pin, but the deflating balloon envelops her hand before dying. when she pulls it off, she discovers she has thousands of needles stuck on her hand
my friends are once again ambushed by a parade balloon while flying on the flying ship, but instead of attacking them, the balloon speaks to them in an inhuman, otherworldly voice, saying that the balloons have risen to end humanity or something to that effect. he claims to be the father of the original balloon, which is scary as balls cause he's much smaller
and finally, i am ambushed at my own house by a what looks like a tiny, yellow balloon like the ones that attacked the little girl. i try to kill it, but it escapes
and when i look at him escape, i see the original balloon lying on a grassy plain next to my house
he has a new form and looks like a huge version of the tiny balloon, but i know it's him
he stares at me
THE END
(welp, i remembered more than i thought)

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."i know right
it sounds silly when i tell it but that was legit terrifying
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."the balloon ate him
also it has just dawned on me this is the closest thing to a legit nightmare i've had since when i was like three
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."
