@GB: Nah, that's not what I meant, I mean the clique phenomenon you described. No, having people in an accessible location helps.
I don't wanna come to a premature conclusion, but I do think there's stagnation as far as willingness to play with characters that you don't normally play with, and I think a conscious effort on everyone else's part to branch out would help.
I don't want this to get forgotten again, guys. That is a very hurtful thing, to be told that efforts will be made to help and then get left in the dust like that. Not trying to be the blame person here, as I don't think anyone's trying to exclude, but this problem should have been resolved long ago.

make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019I don't think you are. You're not avoiding characters to play with others as far as I know.
Really, I don't have a problem playing with characters I don't normally play with, but I still need an IC reason for doing so, like what Trip said.
Shizuka isn't going to go up to someone and ask how the weather's going if she's not somewhat acquainted with them. I've considered and have dropped in different characters for more interaction every now and then, but if I don't feel like playing them or can't get in character after a while, it's hard for me to keep playing them.
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's mean@GB: Not you, no. It's mostly something that more senior members tend to do. It's kind of a naturally occurring phenomenon, but that doesn't mean it can't cause problems.
Building off what Riv said, some character types are not hella conducive to initiating interaction. Usually, if I am playing a character like that, and I want to initiate an interaction, I have something happen that will draw the attention of the character I'm trying to interact with. It could be simple as bumping into them or needing assistance with a task. Something small like that can start something larger. I've seen it happen a lot.
Guys, I'm not gonna let this discussion die until we start actually working towards a solution. This deserves your attention as much as anything else in this thread does, and I'm not about to let yet another attempt to get this thing resolved go limp and ineffectual.
make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019This. This this this this.
I know you guys are there, even if you're not saying anything. Look, this is really important, and we can't just solve this alone.
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOII really don't know what sort of solution can be made out of all this that isn't just "we need to try and be more reactionary to things" and "we should try to be more active in making interactions."
If somebody's doing something that's fishing for interaction, try and react to it as IC as you can if your character is free.
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanRiv's statement does seem to hold weight. I feel iffy about calling it quits there, though, because we have done so in the past only to have this issue repeat itself ad-infinitum.
I don't believe this to be the case, but if everyone could make it clear whether they agree or disagree with this statement, that would be great.

make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019Well, I always feel turned away a little when a big plot thing happens (not aimed at you specifically mega, more at most events). That's more of my fault since my characters can't really do anything and really has nothing to do with this conversation so I'll stop now.
Ram, they're great characters. Honestly.
I don't know how we can be even more aware of it. Like, we know it went on, we're talking about it now, and we will most likely talk about it in the future.

I live in a constant state of fear and misery.I agree with Riv's statement, if I'm guilty of this then I'll try to change it since gespenst is supposed to be one of those guys that would just randomly walk up and ask how someone is
On another note: i like tallis and julie, I find it fun to interact with them when I do

Yeah, I've done that before.
It doesn't usually work.
