Yeah.
Okay.
The root of my confusion was in a few times he referred to Coras which I stumbled on a few weeks earlier, but that was just Cloud and Rennor bringing her up.
So they both know about each other, but not one another.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? He always does after the fact or in the middle of winter or something because it would be rude of him to just demand that they celebrate his existence.
Especially considering his efforts to get people to actively acknowledge his birthday as a child were always met with resounding failure. He's just not used to bringing it up.

MY SOUL IS DARK BUT MY HAIR IS COLORFUL — Brahian Pokémon AlchemistTurians aren't really big on celebrations.
Coras turned a year older while she was gone and just hasn't felt the need to comment on it.
Birthdays are pretty much something they'd bring up briefly in a conversation.
"I turned 26 today."
"Oh, no kidding. Another one down. Anyway, back to my other questions."
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? His mother scrounges together money for a cake, and lunch for guests, and he sits there by the window bouncing off the walls in anticipation at all the new friends he's gonna make.
And nobody shows because nobody wants to go to that one weird poor kid's birthday party. You know the one.
Birthdays are generally a horrible disappointent at best and a source of heartbreak at worst for him.

Narrowing down, looking like Aven first showed up a few weeks after Coras left.
Unless he showed up earlier in the year.
