Stupid may be pushing it
I would say more like it leaves more up to the player's interpretation, like the last game
Which I'm fine with
The game's story isn't in my face, so I can choose to look deeper into it if I please, or just ignore it
It's actually really wonderful in how non-intrusive it is
What I WILL say is that there's even more ambiguity and... like... whatever in the sequel than the original
War is God.but the thing is
the first game was like a puzzle, but you could only see the pieces if you looked hard enough
some were missing, which opened speculation
dark souls 2 is just vague for the sake of being vague
and also relies heavily on referencing dark souls 1
"the lost bastille is nice and all, BUT WOULDNT IT BE COOL IF IT WERE THE UNDEAD BURG"
"yeah, heide's tower looks nice, BUT WHAT IF ITS ANOR LONDO"
Hey you basically just summed up my reaction to the game. I find it hilarious how fanboys hate it because it's... uh.... I dunno. Stupid reasons. If anyone thinks that game is mediocre... wow... they must have some incredible gaming benchmarks.
Well, those are basically the same souls.
The game did everything but just outright say so.
The game seems to have an emphasis on cycles. The same thing happens over and over...
Mighty kingdoms rise... and mighty kingdoms fall.

War is God.the level design is wonky
in dks1 the levels all felt part of an overarching world
in dks2 they were just kinda there, no real connection
overall i kinda think dark souls 2 was just less tighter than 1
not bad at all, still a good game
just less tight, if that makes sense

UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOIthen again if you really really think about it
dark souls 1's map made no fucking sense
i mean
you could get to blighttown by going down a sewer far far away from firelink shrine
or go through the elevator right under it
wuh huh?
and also the great hollow is much smaller then it actually is, and it's pretty damn big
I get that
But really... I just feel like Dark Souls 1 felt longer because of the lack of fast travel.
Oh, I can fast travel LATER, but not at the beginning? I fucking HATE backtracking. It's a waste of my time, no matter if it means the game world feels connected or not.
By GOD, I can warp wherever in the sequel, and it doesn't feel TEDIOUS. Thank GOD.
Also... in that way... it sort of makes the game easier.
Run into a bit of trouble? Meh, just warp out of there back to Majula.
War is God.you know how there's all those people who make "trusty patches" and "laurentius" and such builds
i dunno, i liked the majority of them
granted i didn't get veddy far before i was suddenly playstationless
but i hear my brother's planning to get his friends old playstation since said friend is getting a ps4 so there's that
not sure what build i'm gonna play
also i am suddenly stricken by the need to play skyrim
sup
what news?
