But it might be harder for me to sell joining up with Eldar as this act of evil as it would be for their dark kin.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Perhap a massive slave/pirate raid while the majority of the Marines were away was the catalyst for the Chapter Master's plans to desert.
Meanwhile, the Chaplain, who had his faith in his warriors and in the Emperor crushed by the raid, has taken to feeding them the occasional hundred or so prisoners, troublesome recruits and such to keep them happy and out of the sector.
Of course, they're duping him and to an extent he knows this, he just sees little alternative for as long as they're committed to the Imperial war machine.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? So Chaplain is making the hard call to keep the place safe under his Master's nose.
Unfortunately, the Dark Eldar fully intend to sabotage any kind of smooth transition to independence, and take advantage of the chaos of the revolution to reap what they took before a thousand-fold.
I like to write villains that are just a few nudges away from the people who oppose them.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Broken heroes make the best villains.
Period.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

Dark Eldar are always fun.
It could even be Craftworld Eldar if you really want to throw something unexpected, yet probably would be IC.
The Craftworlds want to protect themselves, and the Imperium is a large threat, whether some want to believe it or not- the Mon-Keigh have a lot more people and resources than them.
So- this would be an opportunity to weaken the Imperium by helping a large-scale desertion that isn't to do with Chaos. Because the Eldar would not want more Chaos.
