HOKAY
So I was planning to say this tomorrow, since it's late and most people are asleep, but I'm still frustrated, can't sleep, and you're not supposed to go to sleep mad anyway, so I'm gonna post this now to get it off my chest.
I did not like how that scene at the graveyard and what happened afterwards played out. At all. It made me legitimately angry.
For starters it turned into a clusterfuck and nobody likes those, but I can deal with clusterfucks, they don't make me legit mad.
What made me mad was the fact that everyone was treating Roger like he was stupid, dangerous, and villainous, and basically dogpiled the fuck out of him, for no other reason than the fact that he was angry at Homura
It totally makes sense and is understandable for them to treat him this way initially because no one has any information and it really does look like an angry man is about to assault Homura.
But when the characters actually found out about what was going on, and why Roger was so upset, they didn't handle Roger any differently. In fact they treated him more like he was stupid, dangerous, and villainous. No one tried any sort of reasoning or asking any questions even after it was abundantly clear that Roger was doing this for someone else's sake. They all just basically called him an idiot and threatened to hurt him if he didn't shut up and stop being mean to Homura, with zero regard, sympathy or interest in what happened to Julie.
That smacks to me less of being in-character and much more of mean-spiritedly dragging Roger and by extension Julie through the mud.
If it was just that everyone was playing BGO and no one was paying much attention, I understand. But the whole thing still offended me.
it is three o' clock now
i will fight you all tomorrow morning
