It's like that debate I had with someone about story in video games
"Yeah well Pac-Man doesn't have a story, and yet it's still a game"
"But it has characters, conflict, setting, and a clear protagonist complete with antagonists, right? There's a goal to it, right? An end? Rising action? Falling action? Climax?"
"Yeah but it's just a thing going wakka wakka and eating stuff"
War is God.Oh, right. Remember months ago when I said the visuals here were a really big inspiration for me for years as far as my own original settings went?
This is Amanita Design.
They're a Czech animation and game-making company that do a lot of really cool shit, mostly stuff like point and click puzzles.
They also made that one video with the guys and the sausages, and this video.
A Visual Novel is exactly what it sounds like. A Novel in which events are depicted through art and music. Its not a video game because there's little to no input from the audience, except to make a choice every now and then.
Phoenix Wright is still not a VN because it requires a lot of input. And does not play out like you are reading a novel with pictures and music. Most of what you read is dialouge, like a comic.
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850I won't lie, that's not a very compelling description.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? Also Mobile, when you make that LP, make sure you sound as disinterested and crestfallen as humanly possible
and try not to put any enthusiasm into what you say
and only speak in a low, meek, monotonous crooning
and mostly leave the videos in total silence only to make a remark now and then usually consisting of a few words at best
also, make sure to not employ basic editing
we want to see every single thing you do
even the things that aren't interesting to watch
also, make sure that there's that nice UNREGISTERED HYPERCAM 2 logo in the top left leering at the viewer continuously
also, make sure that the video quality is either too pixellated, too blurry, the framerate is too choppy, it's too dark, or it's so bright that my corneas actually start to sizzle
like I can hear them
oh and don't forget your five-minute plus long intro depicting AMV stuff of your favorite animu with My Chemical Romance blaring over it
War is God.Honestly, no I haven't, but I've heard interesting things about it.
It's supposed to be extremely minimalist.
Also, a lot of internet hipsters are lashing at it
soooo
I'd be willing to try it out, but I honestly buy games with lasting appeal and replayability in mind

War is God.

I can't really find a definition that makes it clearly distinct from other categories, either.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?
