@imca: you mean those moves that do worthless amounts of damage and only conceivable purpose is to counter double team users?
close to every pokemon in the game can learn double team
i'm sure that swift or aerial ace is gonna hurt that metagross something awful
also earthquake is an easily counterable move that isn't a guaranteed knockout
when you hit a type resistant to ground with earthquake they probably won't get instakilled
hit an ice type with sheer cold and it will be instakilled

I'm still sticking with No Guard, for evasion.
"Fuck your evasion, no-miss Dynamic Punch"
Also, Foresight/Odor Sleuth. Resets their evasion AND they can't buff it anymore (not sure of the latter part). Just a fun fact as to what it can do. Not sure if it works through Substitute, though.
And it's so easy when you're evil... This is the life for me, the Devil tips his hat to me...So, it will still only get instagibed 30% of the time.
And you can just use say thunder if it has a ground type weakness.
Your doing EXACTLY what that image says, removing parts of the game simply because you don like them, when chance is a part of any stratagy, you have to weigh risks and rewards, a key factor you insist on removing.
If you cant counter chance your a poor strategist.

There just as anoying to actualy use, its risk vs reward.
Hell, just because I argue for them does not mean I use them, near perfect accuracy on earthquake is much more reliable then any of those, and thus I use them more.
But that stuff is just no items fox only final destination

chance is not strategy. it never has been. it is the antithesis of what strategy is. prediction is strategy. chance is not.
you can't counter chance. if you're paralyzed, there is no way for you to reduce the percentage at which your pokemon will not act on its turn. you can't counter flinching. you can't counter missing attacks.
they don't ban things solely because they don't like it. that is absurd. they ban things that would turn a mildly centralized metagame into a disgustingly overcentralized chance-based mess
do you know why, in fighting games, occasionally characters will be banned? like, say, meta knight for brawl
because meta knight is so far above any other character on the roster, and the idea of not choosing meta knight is foolish and defeatist, because the competent guy who chose meta knight will always beat you
so naturally, everyone has to keep up, which means everyone chooses meta knight, which means meta knight is the only character anyone ever plays
the exact same principle is with banned shit like evasion boosters and OHKO. everyone is now using either an evasion-based team, a counter-evasion-based team, and of course, everyone's got Pokemon that knows OHKO moves
so, the already small pool of Pokemon in the tiers the people who decry Smogon for becomes even smaller
you say that taking this shit away takes away variety. no. it adds variety.
