No honestly, you should not, Not with every one in the same room.
If NUMBNUTS Y would have a reason to bumrush DICKHOLE A, they should be able to.
It is the GM's job to acount for that stuff.
What I will agree to though, is NUMBNUT Y should not bumrush DICKHOLE A for no reason, But in this particular case every one has had a reason.

All I have to do is point to the name of the game to explain the problem with that.
Every one is in the same confined area, it is not spidy sense, it is normal senses.
I can tell when my Brother and his Fiance fight, we live in the same house... It is not hard.
Same for I can tell when the people sevral blocks down are enjoying fireworks (Which I am pretty sure are illegal) and gunfire is even louder then that.
The confined space nuetralizes that argument compleatly.
@Trip:I just like the character.
Also. A little factoid for those not to familiar with Fate Stay Night magecraft.
A Barrier is not so much as a wall that stops attacks like in final fantasy, but rather it is a sort of trap in which the rules of the world change. For example everyone within a barrier's range might suddenly get poisoned, or the air might have the property of melting your flesh, or it could be something as simple as a causing a bell to ring when you step inside it.
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850Yeah, I think both parties need to apply common sense to the whole thing.
Both the people setting up the event and everyone else need to think on the risk of lemming rushes.
As Seer said, though, it's unfair when the event has been carefully set up to isolate certain people that the other players all charge in.
Some of Seer's best moments have been when he's been uninterrupted, and I can tell it frustrates him to no end every time he has to abandon subtlety in the face of mass gang-tackle.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? That compleatly ingnores people who DO have super human senses Seer.
Although I do have to agree concesions need to be made to the GM as well, I strongly feel this is not one of them, if you want strict reactions with no interference a videogame or even dungeons and dragons is better then a free form RPG.
The bigest trait you need to have is Adaptability.
Note, I am still counting Mega as a GM for droping an obviously vilinistic charecter into a bunch of Nuetral and Good aligned people, just like I would do the same for the reverse.
This was going to be an edit, so I apoligize if it becomes a double post, but Norm seems to be the most reasonable about this, more so then myself....
There for I am jus going to settle with "I agree with norm"
Please dont do that on me, I prioritize IC, over GM concesion, so even if you continue to elsewhere.... please dont on me okay?

This is primarily a storytelling medium Imca, not a system with clearly defined rules.
Don't just consider what is realistic, try and consider what makes a better story.
When so many people are involved in a fight it robs the fight of dynamism, the fighters of their individuality and turns everything into a mush, even if it's realistic.
When its just two, three or maybe four guys fighting it allows for much more interesting engagements than -I attack the enemy-
And the gm can't decide what players do. We don't even have proper gms in the fg. It's just player on player, and both players are equally culpable when it comes to lemming rushes.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? My proposed alternitive would be yo either acount for the others, or to draw them away.
Honestly the first, as hard as it is, it can be done, but if you are on a phone or mobile device option 2 is better, a breif bit of issolation is better then having to acount for the OOC ness of not interfeering.
Fair point, but I feel the oppisite at the same time, if you give too many concessions, it becomes a poor story as well.
A fight happy charecter passing up every fight is just as bad of writing, as the mushy leming rushes.

Sure, but a fight happy character not getting into a fight that is already happening between three players is easy to excuse.
He was distracted telling a rivetting story/he was afraid of harming his allies in the melee/he wants to watch carefully in case charging in is a bad move/he wants to prioritise getting others to safety/he just plain didn't notice because he had his earphones on
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

BCom, don't worry about it. Just another reason for Homucifer to be pissed at Yukari.
The damned queen and the relentless knight.
