trying to stop convoluted subplots from popping up left and right and locking everyone not in the know out
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."@wacky: but that is what you're saying though
the entire point of this discussion was how you guys are saying it's a serious problem that needs to be remedied
but this is storytelling. this is character development. you cannot immediately involve everyone in everything, and if someone comes right in the middle of a thing they now want to take part in, they have to do a bit of work to get involved.
does this mean that sometimes new unestablished characters are gonna be stuck with little coming their way? sure, and we could start keeping that in mind when we develop our characters' relationships so there's less difficulty in that. but it is ultimately the job of the player to develop their character, and make them bond with other characters, not the other players
the reason this event-heavy style started to form was because a game where a static group of people just talk casually to one another gets really boring, really fast. and now this new style has gotten to a point where there's new problems. going backwards will not solve this, and neither will making big changes to the game itself. we just need to keep new things in mind.

if i may point you to the fg rules
so yeah
that's basically it
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."I'm not back yet, but I think I should mention that the "stuck in a basement" thing was not proposed as a solution. It was proposed as a fun thing we could try for a few hours.
If it gets the arguing to stop, I'll back off on this, because this isn't going anywhere.
MY SOUL IS DARK BUT MY HAIR IS COLORFUL — Brahian Pokémon AlchemistWe do keep plot bunnies small though.
But when ever a character has something happen to them, it adds to their over all story. There is a cohesive narrative going on in the form of episodic events, and we all agreed a long time ago that, that was okay and can't be avoided.

these plot bunnies might have started small
but the carrots you feed them might've been doused in growth potion because some of them have become gigantic
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."@wacky: nothing that's been going on apart from the recent thing with the Absolutist can be described as more than "small"
"not small" would be sending characters into outer space to partake in a furry fighting tournament
something that drastically changes the setting for all involved
@ramuf: i'm saying that that's really a self-inflicted problem
it is a natural byproduct of a roleplaying game in a static setting based entirely around building relationships

well
no matter what whenever i try to post in the fg i still feel confused and left out, so in that matter yes, i do think most of the plot bunnies are too big
the fg used to be about interaction, but it really isn't anymore

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."and i never do because it confuses me
it goes in circles
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."because that's too much of a hassle and can be confusing on itself
i just wanna see a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits interacting with each other and have fun
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."

If not trying to stop groups from forming, then what has this whole conversation been about?
