Rogal Dorn was chosen for his potential to bring the entire Imperium crashing down. They preyed upon and magnified his feelings of jealousy at being passed over as Warmaster, and then being withdrawn to Terra while his brothers were carving a reputation across the galaxy. Feeling revulsion at such thoughts, Dorn had sought to drown out these shameful doubts of his father‟s judgement in the scourge of the Pain-Glove. As the pressure increased, he spent longer and longer in the device, until eventually it unhinged his mind, and he was claimed by the Pantheon of Chaos. He was not beholden to one, but to the glory of Chaos Undivided.
this is actually kind of strangely disturbing and sad to me
I kind of want someone to draw a comic of that scene with Horus and Dorn.
Just like.
"Hey bro, we're here to kill you"
"No, Horus. Look. I'm repenting ;-;"
"Aww... Okay, bro. I understand your pain. Here lemme hug you"

1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postAw, man.
I should link you to the thread where they're working on the Night Lords.
Konrad Curze was a smart person. Kind of.
He basically deliberately got himself killed so that it'd prove that Dorn was a traitor.
But his last words to Dorn are actually kind of badass.
