It kind of is.

They're headed to Australia now.
Which is where it tells me it's finally part 2, and I feel that this book is actually getting moving.
Because Nikola made another appearance, and in general there's less of the-
"I'm falling in love with this woman who I don't see for another five chapters or more!"
and "I'm meeting my uncle! He's a bit of a dick, and he disowned me! He's poor- and his stately home is in disrepair!"
Oh, and of course- "I'm casually hiring a boat, and sailing around the South English Coast! The most eventful thing is saving a Young Marquis from drowning!"
and more of the Nikola goodness.

The first time Hatteras meets him, it's over a Chess game. And Nikola casually remarks something along the lines of- "Wouldn't you say that the limitations of the fool are the birth gifts of the wise?"
And he just bleeds intelligence in a way.
And yet- even though you are suspect of him- he's perfectly mannered.
He's just- the gaze is the big thing.
