I live in a constant state of fear and misery. It's my mum. My roomie got a good job very close nearby that I didn't know about, and I had a very unpleasant phone call with her.
Like, half a tissue box in the corner of my room, unpleasant.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Yeah, missing out on that one opportunity by failing to check up on it a few months back was dumb, but it was one slip-up that just let her brush over every other thing I had worked on and achieved since moving out.
She told me if I really, really wanted a job, I'd have one by now. And since I don't, it means I'm some non-committal invalid or something.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?I always feel physically ill whenever I've upset somebody. It's happened quite a bit with you guys. I just lose all composure and make things worse whenever I disappoint anyone, and I did it during the phone call and now everything is just terrible.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? She told me I was pathetic, and I buckled down and agreed with her.
I'm not sure if I'm angry or ashamed or anything. But I'm definitely feeling something.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? That doesn't really sound fair of her. You're a full-time student, right? A lot of the time, that shit just isn't feasible for someone who's taking that many classes. That and the job market is pretty hostile to people with no experience. I hope she reconsiders what she said, because that's pretty harsh.
make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019I just can't stand the whole "explain yourself right now and don't make excuses."
"Well, it started the other day wh—"
"I said no excuses!"
Why is that even a thing?
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Something tells me she's being that short because she has other shit going on. Usually, when a parent just decides that they suddenly hate your guts, they have something else that's worrying them and are taking it out on you because you're, well... there and a kid. There's not much protesting you can do, that would be insubordination.
Just me speculating, but I think she'll probably apologize to you later on. This all just sounds very sudden.
