They said they're not going to do a reboot.
Unfortunately, they also said that nobody would be on both sides of the X-Schism.
So Civil War, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, Fear Itself and now this. So, are we ever gonna get the chance to just relax and breath Marvel? You know, take in some of those big changes that those other events were supposed to have caused?
Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere. On the one hand, Aaron and Hickman. On the other hand, Fraction and Bendis (Bendis? Yes, Bendis. Bendis is writing this? Yes, Bendis is writing this. You're sure Bendis is writing this? Yes, Bendis is.). Aaron is listed first, so we can hope he's the main writer.
Title and details seem to have been announced a day early, and it's got the rather generic-sounding name of "Avengers vs. X-Men
." It will apparently have a theme of "destruction and rebirth," which I hope doesn't mean a reboot...
Not really what I mean. DBZ doesn't really writes around power levels, it fully embraces them. The fights are normally completely one-sided, with one opponent clearly dominating the other.
What I want to say it that the writers will try not to have one hero clearly dominating the other one, because that will make them look bad.
Not turning this into a vs-thread, but the Avengers tend to face and win against bigger villains then the X-men, so my fear is that they will write around direct confrontations, with a healthy dose of Worf Had The Flue.

Preemptive thread for this, as what it is will apparently
be announced this Wednesday.
