Minor Cabinet shuffle today, triggered primarily by Navdeep Bains (Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada) resigning his portfolio and deciding not to run in the next election.
François-Philippe Champagne (currently Foreign Affairs) will replace Bains, Marc Garneau (currently Transport) will replace him, and Omar Alghabra comes from the backbench to replace Garneau.
Finally, Jim Carr is coming back into Cabinet as a special representative to the Prairies, having stepped down from International Trade Diversification after being diagnosed with cancer in 2019.

That sounds like Jason Kenney. Well hopefully we don't have him ruining relations over this sort of thing. Trudeau may be pretty alright with pipelines but I don't think have this sort of reaction to the US being finally under reasonable leadership pro.

Well at least he is out. Now he should watch his mouth as well, if he is into distancing. Hopefully this will help clean things out, doesn't really matter if it's a wake up call or just distancing (though I guess if the second there is the risk of just getting good at dog whistles). Still Sloan out is a good thing.
Sloan being out is a good thing, but its pathetic how O'Toole waited for something relatively minor (a small donation among thousands from a white nationalist, of which the party as a whole took a cut) compared to his anti-vaxx, anti-mask, anti-LGBTQ, and blatant racism over the past few years.
