I just commented out a bunch of ZCEs in Plucky Office Girl. I'd noticed one example already commented out. Anyone familiar with said examples might want to elaborate on them. Here is a work list: Bubblegum Crisis, What Women Want, American Psycho, The Devil Wears Prada, Working Girl, Less Than Perfect.
Fjón þvæ ég af mér fjanda minna rán og reiði ríkra manna. Not a work page but a trope page, but One of the Boys have a bit of "Insert Girl's Name, fullstop" examples which doesn't explain why the character fits the trope. Especially in the film folder
Daddy's Daughters is an absolute nightmare. Surprisingly enough, the character page actually seems to have more tropes with sufficient context than the main work page.

Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl have quite a bit of "Name + Name" example without sufficient context.
Miki Falls is pretty barren with several ZCEs. It's character page is basically empty, too.
It's been a really long time since I've read the books, so I'm not entirely sure how accurate my memory is regarding tropes and such.
There's a lot of pages in the pinball namespace that are plagued with ZCEs. I've been trying to clean them up for a while, but there's still several left.
Pinball cleanup threadCharacters.Big Brother 9 has a few empty folders and about 90% of the examples have zero context. I also reported it to the character page cleanup thread
for this problem.
How bad is First Town? I only opened two folders, but it doesn't look good?

My thoughts exactly.
I only started using the character page cleanup thread
because I couldn't find a cleanup thread for Big Brother only.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.![]()

I looked through it quickly, and it looks decent to me. The most blatant I saw was the Legend of Zelda examples, but the others looked mostly OK.
I'll ask again, since I was buried the first time:
I've already asked this on the respective Clean-Up, but there's this example from YMMV.Alice In Wonderland 2010:
- The Woobie: The March Hare, who comes pre-broken (and to get this out of the way, arguably, the Hatter in his less subversive moods).
The Hare: ...cup?
And I can't ask the person who added this example, since any information about them was wiped when the page had to be renamed. If anyone knows the context, please tell me, otherwise I'm going to cut this entry as soon as my suspension is lifted.
Delete it.
CSI has a lot of ZCE which I just commented out. Surprising, you'd think such a big show would have more activity on it.
I'm still not quite sure what makes a zero context example. So is this on I found on The Devil Wears Prada one:
- Vanilla Protagonist: Andy is perfectly fine, but there’s a reason why Meryl Streep was nominated for Best Actress instead of Anne Hathaway.
I don't think it gives enough context, but I am not really familiar with how this type of thing works. So I could use a second opinion on rather it is zero context or not.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadIt does not. It says a thing, but it doesn't explain how that thing actually is. The scope of ZCE includes a lot of examples that are a flat declaration of a character/work demonstrating a trope without effort to explain how the character/work demonstrates it.

If you know how to, then go ahead. But note that Vanilla Protagonist doesn't just mean "main character is less interesting than the side cast", it means "main character's backstory and personality are intentionally made bland to allow for more focus on a colorful supporting cast".

Nearly all of the examples on The Witch's Throne are ZCE. The description also sounds copy-pasted.
