Mission
Comment out Zero Context Examples and leave this comment note on the page itself:%% Administrivia/ZeroContextExample entries are not allowed on wiki pages. All such entries have been commented out. Add context to the entries before uncommenting them.
Edited to be a thread header.

Many of the examples on Woobie.South Park completely lack context.
Not sure what to do with this page, but the entire trope list on James Swallow lacks context.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallHonestly I would just cut the trope list or least comment out everything if that's too drastic.

Macron's notesYeah, that'd work.
In other news, I just discovered that back in November, ~Grotadmorv deleted all of the ZCE markup I added to Toon Town Online, along with the commented-out warning. I can't just get a revert since edits have happened since, but more than anything, I just want to know why the hell they did that.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallAdmittedly, sometimes it's hard to tell when I'm looking whether or not things were actually added or if things were just deleted; the history is...poorly formatted and confusing, especially if I'm mostly just looking to see who removed the tags and warning.
So okay, it's not as bad as I thought, though the warning shouldn't have been touched. That was actually what really threw me off; the fact that the warning was gone when I checked. If that had been kept, I might not have even noticed the rest of it even happened.
So I'm sorry for jumping the gun, but still, deleting the note was a weird and confusing choice on their part.
Edit: I made an ATT thread about this too though my real question is just "What to do if these things aren't noticed until months later", with the Toon Town thing more of a catalyst than anything. I also sent Grotad a second PM explaining my confusion and letting them know they can ignore the ping if they want, since it was a bit impulsive of me to send it in the first place.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallCleaned up Finger Wag. Some were just "character does this", and some were, with the (lack of) context given, just "character wags finger" with no reason as to why. I'm tired, so I wouldn't mind another pair of eyes on the page in case I missed anything or commented out something I shouldn't of.
Edit: a word

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I had to, how you say... Comment out nearly everything on How Do You Say because they were just quotes with no actual context.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Would someone mind doing the ZCEs in La Résistance? I've been cleaning and swapping wicks for a few hours and want to call it.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I went through the main page of What Do You Mean, It Wasn't Made on Drugs? as far as I could (IE, down through the webcomics folder), just commenting out ZC Es, weblink only examples, and deleting one general example, before I had to stop because it was just too much frustration to go on. My standard was roughly "does it describe what makes people think it was made on drugs?" and if not, I commented out, while going with a conservative, if not sure leave it up plan. Also, I wasn't sure if the examples that admitted to some drug use should be cut or not
I think it might need TRS to set up some firm standards because it is bad, and I can't even imagine how bad the subpages are.
My troper wall
Feel free to add it to the sandbox for now, and we can hash out a wick check later.
It's been a month since I don't have internet at home. Wanted to tell you that Mother 3 have too many ZCE, due to being a very old article.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Webcomic.Dogs Days Of Summer has no examples that give context. Should the page be cut?
TRS Wick CleaningCharacters.Phantasy Star Universe is filled with Zero-Context Examples. I even had to comment one out because it was both complaining and a ZCE. If there's anyone whose played those games, this page is in dire need of expansion.
I really want to play through those games' story mode again, but I'm too busy with other things right now. Plus, my 360 version of Phantasy Star Universe is all scratched up when I had it as a kid. :c
Otherwise, it'd have to be cut.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Oh boy, another Awesome Music subpage.
D'you think it'd be worth the effort for someone more musically literate than me to write up a UsefulNotes. How To Describe Music page? Cause I gotta admit, the best I can come up with for why I like the music I like is "it makes me rotate", which I'm 95% sure doesn't even make sense to people other than me.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.Yeah, part of the reason why Ear Worm was made IUEO was because it was impossible to give context.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallThe Mighty B! has a ton of ZCEs which I had to comment out.
noting that i cleaned up Series.Chewing Gum and Series.Borgia in the interval before this account could post here.

Troper ~Classified has unhidden several Zero Context Examples on Chain Lightning without adding context.
While many of them have a lot of text, they consistently use the awkward and Word Cruft-y "this" construction instead of actually describing the example, e.g.:
Many of them are probably valid examples that could be restored by adding context, but as written, they're no good.
Re-hiding pending discussion / consensus / cleanup.
