That's another one for the Appearance Trope thread to deal with, I think.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOh yeah but I feel that tropes foundation is solid but I will bring it up if it needs further action when/if we get to it
Macron's notesI might do a wick check at some point; even if it's tropeworthy, it might be too ZCE-filled to be useful in it's current state.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI wish I have named it Short Hair Means Masculine instead when it was in the TLP
But yeah I am putting it on the to do list for Appearance thread.
Macron's notesThe Nowakverse has a good chunk of ZCEs. I commented out some of them while crosswicking, but I need to finish doing that, so I'd appreciate if someone could get the rest.
Edit: hold that one for a moment, I just discovered one way worse; The Heat has a sizable page, but about 95% percent of the tropes listed have no context or sentences that don't add anything. If you'd like something of an indication, there are eleven tropes between Action Girl and Bloody Hilarious, and I had to comment all of them out.
Edit 2: And The Ωmega Man! This one's way smaller so I'll probably just tackle it myself when I'm done, but jeez. I'm gonna start keeping a list and just post that when I'm finished.
Edit 3: Cleaned The Heat and The Omega Man.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Decided to click "Random Media" to go after some ZCEs for some more obscure pages. Ideal, Elite, Batrachomyomachia, Paganitzu, The Daughter of Twenty Faces, and The Life and Times of the Fantasmic Four all got a scrub treatment from me.
But Remote. Oh my god, Remote. How the hell can such a short page be almost entirely ZCEs?
Hey how you doing well I'm doing just fine I lied I'm dying insideYou missed some.
OK, now it doesn't have the minimum three tropes.
Thanks for getting the ones I missed. Also, what will it mean for the page? I highly doubt someone's going to come along any time soon and add some context.
Hey how you doing well I'm doing just fine I lied I'm dying insideIt means we cutlist.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessToken Mini-Moe has quite a few ZCEs.
Keet cleanupJust got rid of probably the weirdest ZCE I've seen on here: A link to a Facebook adnote and nothing else on Exactly What I Aimed At. Of course, when I clicked on the link it asked me to log in to Facebook to view it. Ehhh... nope.
ETA: Disregard, just decided to get rid of the example entirely, ZCE be damned. Nobody should have to log in to Facebook or create an account just to view an example.
Damn, really? I don't have a Facebook account so I couldn't really verify if the link even worked minus the login prompt.

Hey how you doing well I'm doing just fine I lied I'm dying insideWorse yet, the link seems to be broken if you are logged in.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportAnyone know anything about The Village People? Their page needs help.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessDid a bit of ZCE cleanup on Sensei-chan. Nowhere near as bad as other character tropes with ZCEs, but there was still quite a few in there.
Hey how you doing well I'm doing just fine I lied I'm dying insideA question about the ZCE issue on Pantheon/ pages.
They list some kind of portfolio for various characters with links or potholes to tropes with absolutely no context.
I understand writing Pantheon pages is considered good fun for some tropers, but it's impossible for cleanup efforts. For example, there are wicks on Pantheon pages for Go Out with a Smile with nothing else, only the link covered with spoiler-tagging. Go Out with a Smile has been in TRS and now it's in the wick-checking and wick-swapping phase. Some wicks need to be changed to Dying Smirk or sometimes Die Laughing.
The thing is it's impossible to tell if the wick is okay. Because there is no explanation for the trope. And honestly, those Pantheon pages are very... how to put it — It simply looks like Fan Myopia to me.
I have had the same problem with Jerkass Façade (somebody from Pantheon thread took care of it when I mentioned it in their thread). Also with Spoiled Sweet... it's very often in the same portfolio with Lovable Alpha Bitch or Jerk with a Heart of Gold and other mutually exclusive tropes, or it's listed for male characters (even though it's an Always Female trope).
And I'm sure there are more problematic entries for tropes that are misused so often that people no longer see it what the trope should be. It's impossible to know if the trope fits when there is no context.

That's why I pitched the idea of Pantheon/ (and Sandbox/) not counting on Related-To pages. Because Pantheons are strictly JFF and have nothing to do with the rest of the wiki, the wicks there are utterly useless to us, and they're also difficult to clean or fix in a cleanup effort.
That said, for big issues, all we gotta go is go to the Pantheon thread in Forum Games and ask for help or discuss things with them; I mean, yeah it's a lot of Fan Myopia going on, but it's also just a fun thing anyone can get involved in, and doesn't typically interfere with the rest of the wiki.

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
Come to think of it, wicks on Awesome, Tearjerker, Heartwarming or Fridge and similar subpages shouldn't count and display in Related/ either. They're really should be mostly potholes and in fact duplicates of proper trope entries from the work page or its recap pages or character sheets.
Anyone here familiar with Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu? The character page is full of so many ZCEs I almost had the edit lock clock run out on me before I finished. Will be adding to Pages Needing Example Context for good measure.
Hey how you doing well I'm doing just fine I lied I'm dying insideSeries.Noels Christmas Presents is commented out. Ugh, it was awful. Full of natter and rambling instead of real example context, often with generalised or nonsensical statements. Like this:
- Assumed Win: To much embarrassment, obviously.
- Batman Gambit: And just how many times has this been pulled?
- Charity Ball: Played straight and subverted in equal measure - the ball aspect, that is.
- Chekhov's Gun: Something in each story featured on the show is this.
- Friend in the Black Market: Not really the black market per se, so an Inverted Trope.
- No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: Invoked by fundraisers on the show, unintentionally.
- Getting Crap Past the Radar: Well, almost anyway. Not so much in a bad way, anyway. Although, to be honest, since 2007, it sometimes tries to do so since the Retool.
Disagreed; these links are useful to help see where and how people are using them, as well as assisting wick migration, but that's a discussion for a different thread.
Music.Melanie C was so bad, I had to add a trope just so the page wouldn't be cutlisted.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Take the discussion about the wicks here guys; sorry for sending us on a tangent.
The idea is controversial so I might need to make a Wiki Talk thread to discuss the wick cleaning issue, but eh.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessDon't know whether it should be here or the Moments cleanup, so I'm posting it on both. Awesome.Wabbit A Looney Tunes Production is pretty much nothing but ZCE. That, and it's pretty gushy too, which is a little odd considering how its generally considered So OK, It's Average.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkMy take: gushing on Awesome/ subpage is okay. That's what they are for.
However, we should consider the fact that all audience reactions listed on this wiki should be what majority of the fandom or viewers who watch it think of it. If it lists every single mundane moment, that's misuse. Also, it happened in the past that people misused moment subpages or nightmare fule page for gushing and writing general recaps of all episodes.
The ZCE issue is very much not okay.

Boyish Short Hair needs a good ZCE scrub but I have a lot of projects on my plate right now
