The Nightmare Before Christmas is amazing. "What's This?" is a great Christmas tune, too.*

Hmm, none of the new Christmas Specials on TV last night seemed that good, except for Prep And Landing: Naughty Vs Nice, and even that one was more good for being Pixar than for its Christmas Spirit. Of course I didn't watch everything, so if I missed something good, let me know!

[up] Prep and Landing isn't Pixar. That's full Disney Feature Animation.

'Cept it isn't either that, since wasn't it direct to video? I certainly don't remember it in theaters, anyway.

[up] It was made by Disney Feature Animation, I believe to be straight-to-tv; it was made by the same bunch that's made their (mostly seldom seen) theatrical shorts in recent years.

No.

Literally every single christmas special/movie/whatever than I have seen are, at best, subpar and mostly forgetable.

In fact, this is true for every single media, like music, films, and whatnot.

(WELL, theres a certain videogame exception, but thats about it and it has nothing to do with this thread)

Christmas Specials are like everything else; 90% of it all is crap.

Arthur Christmas was good, but I didn't like the elves. The Muppet Christmas Carol is also great, but I'd class it as Live-Action.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie. :/ Saying it's a Christmas movie is like saying Super Smash Brothers Brawl is a Sonic game.

Un-frickin-touchable.

[up]Only some of it.

Since it's got that whole bit about Christmas cheer, it can count for both holidays.

What I hate about Nightmare before Christmas is that channels seem to air it non-stop starting from October 1st to January 6 because of its twofer holiday features... By the time you reach to Christmas, you are pretty tired of it airing.
