Basically Booster is a Jerk with a Heart of Gold who comes from the future to make his fortune using the technology of that time. This attitude tends to make the more altruistic mainstream supers look down on him. Not sure why they picked him for a series unless it's because he isn't really big time enough for a movie.
Yeah no, pretty sure they go with the glory hound, simply because it makes for a good character arc. And honestly, I think that'd make a great series. You get some comedy out of Boster's personality and his Fish out of Temporal Water status and some action with the superhero stuff.
Not that one in particular, but the fact they at least tried was something. It may not have been the best that could have been done, but it would have been something. No matter what anyone tries to say, we all know its BS on Wonderwoman being a member of the trinity seeing how often she's shortchanged.

From the Hollywood Reporter:
The NBC Universal cable network has ordered a pilot script for the one-hour drama based on the DC Comics franchise.
The project, which hails from Greg Berlanti's Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Horizon Television, will count Berlanti (Brothers & Sisters, No Ordinary Family, Green Lantern) as an executive producer. Fringe's Andrew Kreisberg, who collaborated with Berlanti on ABC's Eli Stone, is on board to pen the script and executive produce. DC Comics will also receive an EP credit.
