<I have the feeling that we are being tested,> said the Andalite out loud, musing to himself as he gazed down at the enormous chasm, before turning his attention to the decrepit bridge that swayed in the breeze. <Would it not fall to reason that whatever brought us here- that is, assuming that this is a new place for us,and not our original home- has some kind of ulterior motives for robbing us of our memories and bringing us to this strange place?>
Bracing himself, the alien placed one narrow hoof on the creaking iron bridge. Though it groaned slightly under his weight, the bridge did not collapse. Nevertheless, fearing the worst, the Andalite-Controller stepped back onto solid ground, keeping one of his eyes trained on the structure as he tried to figure out a way for the ntire party to make it safely across. He was sure that this was some kind of test, or a challenge, in order to see if the party was worthwhile- could they circumvent it?
<Perhaps if we go one at a time the bridge will hold,> he finally suggested. <It seems to have taken the weight of this wheeled vehicle, after all.>
"I don't trust that bridge. They're unreliable and will often break. Or someone is gonna cut it when we're halfway. I'd rather have my chances with the angry townspeople." The man said.

Flandre went for a much simpler method of crossing the chasm: flight directly across it, before returning to the halfway point and hovering over the bridge. What if it snapped and sent people plummeting downwards? The vampire girl had a suspicion that she would have trouble finding anything to eat should that happen...
"I could warp across the chasm, but I don't believe I could take many people with me. Three at most, and I'll not be doing it more than once."

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Back with the pods that the group had left far behind, something stirred within.
Visions of a battle among sandstone cliffs raced through the figure's mind. Figures in armour, and the clash of swords.
And then it faded, leaving the stranger with the sense that he was underwater. Except for the fact that he couldn't feel whatever he was floating in on his face.
Do I even have a face, or indeed anything at all?
His mind drew a blank. All around him were wires and other bits of strange technology, all suspended in a gently bubbling fluid.
What is this?
And then the front opened outward as the wires detached, disgorging him and the fluid he was floating in onto the ground. Looking down, he could see he was wearing some strange red and black bodysuit, with a tattered cloak around his waist. Looking around, he could see a number of pods identical to the one he had recently vacated; some open, some closed.
"Yup. That tasted purple.""I could easily cross this bridge anyway, safe or not, just because I'm goofy like that!" the Joker said. "BUT since I'm lazy, I'll take teleportation anyway!" With that, the clown leaped into the air and landed right into the Emperor's arms. "Please be gentle, I bruise like a grrrape!" the supervillain said, mimicking the voice and mannerisms of a dainty young woman from a trashy romance novel.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Richard met with the others on the bridge, but he doesn't know any of them very well. The clown seemed to be his type of insanity, but other than that, he doesn't know the rest very well.
"MY BURNING AMERICAN JUSTICE WILL PUSH ME FORWARD TO THE END OF THIS BRIDGE!"
With triumph, Richard moved forward to the bridge, trying to be careful not to bump other people.
Shutdown sequence initiated."Alright. The White Robot, Womanly Knight, and Smart Alec here can try and cross the bridge first." The man said. He then paused as he began to think. "Why am I giving orders? Why do I sound confident in giving them?" The man thought. he then shook his head. "Then the Clown, the American, and I will cross next." The man said.
Wily eyed the tracks and footprints with suspicion. As the others pointed out, they were fresh, and it was highly likely that whatever lived here wasn't friendly, at least if the scenery was any indication. The bridge didn't look very well built in his opinion, and the doctor tut-tutted at its' condition. "Hmph, what does it take to get some quality engineering around here? I'm sure that I could create something 200% more efficient and 45% longer lasting in an afternoon!"
The doctor paused for a moment, befuddled by the statistics that he had managed to toss out without even thinking about it. If that was any indication, he must have been an engineer or something, although the labcoat indicated that his trade was scientific in nature. "...Of course, that doesn't matter right now. After you," he said, stepping out of the way to let the others past him.
Locking you up on radar since '09"NO BODY GIVES ME ORDERS!!" Joker said to Daido. "But I'll do it anyway since you asked so nicely, though I prefer to stay in the arms of tall dark and armored here," he said, pointing his thumb at Palemecia. The clown then jumped off the Emp's arms and landed on the ground. "I like him for reason!"
Then he asked Daido: "Anyway, which one am I? The smart alec or the clown?"
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!

Flandre looked at the bridge, then at the gap itself, and finally the people. "I think that I could carry two people at once, though it wouldn't be very comfortable... I'm not sure that I can throw people so far..."
