Too often, that's for sure. My fault for never proofreading.
Edit markers annoy me slightly, but typos annoy me more.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffIt always somehow gives me the feeling others might think I could have changed the whole argument of a post, rather than just fixing a mere typo.
That reminds me, I don't know which ones, but there are a few forum softwares which only display an edit mark if more than ~15 characters have been changed, thus mostly not if one corrects oneself.
Programming and surgery have a lot of things in common: Don't start removing colons until you know what you're doing. On occasion, though its usually not to correct typos...I do that before I hit the "send" button.
When I will edit a post is to clarify a point imperfectly made, or to change wording that might come off as inflammatory. I try not to change the overall point of a post even if I regret it later, though; if I posted it, I said it, and I'll deal with the results.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~

How often do you guys edit your posts?
I'm rather bad at this; I usually never say what I want to say the first time or make rather obvious typos so I often edit my posts, sometimes right after posting them.
See what I mean?
