I do NOT know what's wrong with me, I'm SO sorry. This doesn't usually happen. I'll post what's been said so far.

Me:

Gotham had deteriorated back to its old self after Batman had gone. You couldn't take two steps without having to deal with some kind of criminal racket. The city just seemed dirty.

It made the new Batman's job much more difficult. But he was there tonight, the same as every night, kicking the crap out of another group of thugs. He had yet to find a group that led him to any of the big mobsters of Gotham, but he was gonna keep trying until he found one.

But tonight he was pounding thugs. One step at a time.

Quarterman:

Firestorm flew high over the streets of Gotham City. He had left his usual confines of Pittsburgh due to the rumors of drug runners moving between the two cities. He wanted to nip this problem at the bud. Looking down, he noticed a figure beating up some toughs and decided to investigate. May as well do some good while I'm here.

Al was in Gotham. He had apparently blacked out, and had lost all memory of why or how he had gotten to Gotham. But it was where he was at, and as far as he figured, it was where he needed to work.

"Greeeeeeeeeeeensleeeeeeeeeeeeeeves was aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll my joy! Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeensleeeeeeeeeeeeves was myyyyyyyyyyyyyy deeeelight!" Sang a Garrison Ray as he floated high above his campus on a glowing green stage to absolutely no audience. He was in his Green Lantern uniform, the "silly" baseball helmet and the "old-fashioned" outfit. Or so he was told. He like it, despite the costume's history with a wit, apparently, a red-blooded all-American maniac. If e was going to be in such a disgusting color, he may as well look nice, right?

He was practicing his audition for an upcoming play written by his fellow students, revolving around the song Greensleeves, one of his favorite songs. He wanted to nail this audition. But there was a twang of guilt, the same twang of guilt that caused him to put on this costume in the first place: The dying wish of Alan Scott.

Garrison pulled the strange ring from his pocket, forged by Alan's own two hands. He needed to find it's successor. where else to search if not Alan's home of Gotham? garrison made the stage disappear and he drifted steadily in the sky as he thought. Gotham was such a cesspool though, he would never go there willingly except for family. That's probably why a man as Noble as Alan was there to begin with.

Without a second thought, he shot like a green bullet in the sky northward bound to the city of Gotham. He'd be there in ten minutes...

"There. Everything's ready for tomorrow. Or tonight..." Kain was pretty well exhausted after driving to Gotham all the way from Metropolis, his home. He had gotten a lead on a certain part that he was in desperate need of (the elusive L-3 Matrix). Unfortunately for him, the only company that made it was Wayne Enterprises. He figured he'd pay them a visit personally. He also hoped that his connections with LexCorp would help him get his foot in the door.

Steel was another matter entirely. In Metropolis, Kain had discovered a network of old metro tunnels underneath the city. Why lug around an 8-foot suit of armor when you just put it on a cart and bring it to you if you really needed it? Kain snickered as he recalled retrofitting the old metro system to suit his needs; it had taken him almost as much time as it took him to create the Steel suit in the first place, but it was worth it. Which is why he felt like something of a failure knowing that deep in the parking garage below the very hotel he was staying in, a large rented box truck containing his beloved suit sat alone.

He looked around his somewhat shabby surroundings; the beige walls, the tacky impressionist painting, the 32" television (that wasn't even 3-D capable) and thought to himself, Why not? He took only what he needed: his ID, his hotel room key, and his PDA and strolled down to the parking garage. The crooks are a little more aggressive here in Gotham than Metropolis. This should be a good test.

Firestorm was continuing his flight around the city when he spotted a couple muggers trying to drag a woman into a alleyway. He immediately landed in front of the thugs. "Let her go. Now." He said in the most commanding tone he could muster. "Who's the freak?" one of the thugs said to his partner. The other man just shrugged. "It don't matter. We'll show this guy not to screw with us anyway."

The first thug pulled out a gun and aimed it at Firestorm. Oh, that was a bad move. Firestorm thought to himself. He lifted his arm and an orange energy appeared in his hand. The gun began to glow with the same energy, and started to change. In seconds it had gone from a pistol to a length of tough metal cord, and was currently entangling the thug. His companion took one look at what had happened and began to run. "Oh no you don't" Firestorm muttered. He picked up a large steel pipe and turned it into a taser, which he the used on the second thug.

With both criminals down, the woman turned to Firestorm. "Thank you." she said. "Who are you?" Firestorm was waiting for this. In the most heroic voice possible, he said "I'm Firestorm, the nuclear man." And with that, he took to the air again. Not a bad showing at all he thought with a smile.

Batman noticed the commotion, having finished off his crop of thugs, and came running.
"Who the hell are you?" She asked, taking a defensive stance.

Firestorm looked at the newcomer. “My name is Firestorm. I came here from Pittsburgh. Judging by the costume, I can safely say you’re neither a cop nor one of those thugs.”

Elsewhere, a large burst of energy lit up an alleyway. A man wearing a gold and blue costume fell out of the newly-formed portal, landing flat on his face. “Well, that was rougher than usual.” He muttered as he dusted himself off. He looked at his surroundings and gave a somewhat confused grunt. “This doesn’t look like 95th century Metropolis. Skeets, where the hell are we?” A small golden robot hovering by his shoulder answered at once. “According to chronological records, we are currently in 23rd century Gotham City.” “Wonderful.” The man answered with a sigh “Can we make another jump?” “Negative.” Skeets answered. “Rip Hunter’s time circuits were damaged during transport.” The man shook his head “Damn. Well, it looks like we’re stuck here for the time being.”

Garrison had arrived swiftly in Gotham. He picked a random location and landed. He figured the best way to find Alan's replacement was to beat the streets. It could be anybody, after all. He put Alan's ring on his right ring finger, and it did nothing. He decided to levitate through the streets and start waiting for a response, maybe even find some crime.

He always preferred floating when in Gotham, the streets always felt "dirtier".

The man walked onto the street and saw Garrison. "Skeets: analysis." He ordered. "Costume and energies consistent with Green Lantern Corp circa 2240. Would you like a list of currently designated Lanterns of sector 2814, Booster Gold?" Booster shook his head. "No. That'll do. I wonder why he's just floating there?"

Firestorm looked at the newcomer and responded "Drug runners. People have been shipping a potent form of Venom from Gotham to Pittsburgh. I take exception to this. I want to stop this at the source."

(Elsewhere in Gotham)

Al was wandering the streets, unsure of his surroundings and the reason for his being there, when he heard a noise behind him. In a second his skin had become iron, as cheap metal bat bent across his face. A shocked thug looked at him in terror, as Al smiled an softly said, "Now, that wasn't polite. Was it?" The thug shook his head, before Al jerked forward, scaring the thug, and causing him to turn tail and run. Al stood there watching as the teenage thug ran off almost in tears.

"This may not be Metropolis, but so far I like it."

As Garrison floated by he noted the man in the golden costume and tried to pretend he was nothing special. Instead he pointed Alan Scott's ring at the man casually. When there was no effect he sighed and continued on.

"I guess a guy already in costume wouldn't be the chosen one anyway." He sighed out loud as he continued on.

Firestorm took out a small vial of liquid. "Here's some of the Venom. Do you have a bat computer or something? I can see its chemical bonds, but I'm hoping for something more thorough."

Booster Gold watched the Green Lantern float past. "Huh. Did he say 'chosen one?'" "Affirmative." Skeets replied. "Weird." Booster muttered. He decided to take a better look at his surroundings, so he took off and flew above the city.

Garrison was not a dumb person, but a little self-centered. It took him a few seconds for him to realize he just casually passed by and nigh ignored another costumed freak like himself. What if it was one of those super villain thingies? And they did something horrible? He would never forgive himself he let that happen! Alan would never for give him! He had to check it out. He turned around and put on his worst "DETERMINED" face and shot after the golden boy.

"Who are you an what do you want?" He said forcibly.

"If I had heard of you, I wouldn't be asking who you are, dumbass," Garrison said as his adherence to common sense overrode his sense of manners.
