Finally, some actual solid news besides just "oh the script's being written don't worry about it."
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.OKAY. This thread has been dead for way too long.
What do we know about the impending revival? (courtesy of The AV Club and various Twitter accounts of those involved with production.)
- Shooting is currently happening.
- Hurwitz, Howard, and all ten Bluths are involved at the very least.
- It's ten episodes, each named for a Bluth (so ten A Day in the Limelight episodes?)—though they're considering extending it to thirteen because there's so much story.
- The staircar is back and in mint condition.
- The cast of Workaholics is involved somehow. Also an airport.
- At the moment all episodes are planned to be released at once in early 2013.

Dude, we're at BUY. We've got pics from the set, we've got cast photos, we've got pics of Hurwitz laying out the plot in multicolored stickies on the writer's room wall (10 colors, one for each Bluth), pics of Howard in a recording booth, we've got a pic of the staircar getting towed onto a studio lot. This is it. It's happening. Season 4 is go.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I have had what I expect is a similar experience to a lot of people regarding this show. When it was first being aired back in 2003 - 2006 I never saw a single episode, in fact I was barely aware of it. The name "Arrested Development" wasn't very descriptive, I seem to recall thinking it must have been some teen sitcom or something. After its cancellation I remember lots of people discussing it online and it being referred to as a cult show. Then in 2010 when they put the full series up on Netflix streaming I decided to check it out one weekend. I became an instant fan after just one episode and watched the entire series in a few days. So I find it fitting that the new season is coming exclusively on Netflix. I'm really looking forward to it.
