The only problem I have with the yellow is Blue Link s are red, external links are still blue (can they both be Blue?) and spoilers have an odd white background that looks weird. (at least they do on an iPhone.)

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I don't have problem with the pages being in different color. But I beg you, make it any other combination that black on transparent gray on yellow. I already mentioned several alternatives in post that Fast Eddie thumped and I'm going to repeat them: - Black on very light nontransparent gray on dark blue or dark green - White or oil yellow on brown. - Just black on white on any other background like Sugar Wiki. Anything but yellow. I beg you!
Though not to the hyperbole of Victoria's earlier statements, I do somewhat agree that this yellow colour scheme is really ugly and kind of painful to read.
Having a different colour for the page is perfectly acceptable. It works well for the WMG and Headscratcher pages. But, as mentioned, the colour scheme hurts the eyes.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation. The tan style has been in use for years. Odd that it is suddenly such a concern for some people. Anyway, please feel free to download https://static.tvtropes.org/css/css_tan.css
and make the changes which you would like to see. If we can find a style that has wider acceptance, there is no reason not to use it.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI suspect the reason I never mentioned it before was because it was used for pages I didn't want to go to anyways. I know it was used for the Troper Tales pages, but I forget if it was used elsewhere. Still thought it was ugly then, but since the ugliness kept me out of troper tales, it didn't bother me as much.
*Goes to download link. Sees page full of incomprehensible coding.*
Ah.
Well, unless somebody who can read that agrees with me and the few others who complain, guess I'll just move along, then. I do kind of see one or two places with adjustable colour codes, but I'm not sure what they mess with, or what different colours translate to.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Okay, I played around a bit. The images are a bit blurry, but should be sufficient to give an idea. Let me know what you think. If you have other coloring ideas, I can try those, too, although I won't have time until tomorrow. I'm not going to mock up a light-on-dark color scheme, though, because I generally find those hard to read and therefore don't want a significant portion of the wiki in such a format.

Same for me, I only ever seen it before on troper tales and I visited that part of the wiki once before it got removed, because I just wasn't interested. Now the same ugly color scheme is on my favorite pages so it's something that bothers me.
I checked the link and...sorry, I have no idea what am I looking at and how am I supposed to use it, how about I link you to some pages with color schemes I think would work better?
(those pages are in polish by the way, don't bother reading them)
Black on gray on dark green backgound
, red variant of the same
, light cream-color on brown on lighter brown background
, black on bright gray/brown on light brown background
, black on light green on green background
, black on creamy on light red background
.

The first one you did looks best, IMO. The two-tone wheat is also good.
I like either the blue version or the version where the blue links are simply blue. Either of those works for me.
Yeah, the yellow was in place for years, but it was in place for years in a place most people never went and was generally considered ugly in content which meant no one cared enough to comment on it. Now it's on some place people go a lot so now it matters.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dickthe problem I personally have with the green is that my colour vision is so screwed up that it just looks like a dirty grey to me. I know that most people with colour vision problems don't have the same sort as me (it's pretty rare, not your usual colour vision problems), but problems perceiving green are quite common. I'd suggest staying away from greens on that general principle.
The green looks a bit sickly to me.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"A bit more darker forest green BG would work.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Pretty much all of those look better to me, thanks to the blue links.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!I like the wheat. I like the green color, but would prefer to use green for trivia, and have the links do that too.
Fight smart, not fair.

Yeah they were all yellow
