Wow, that sounds nearly as suicidal as what we do. He'd fit right in on the Ozzy, thought Marik.
"Ah, that makes sense then. Sucks that it abandoned you on Tuchanka."

"So," Dru said, "I figure you guys have a plan regarding how you want to approach this... right?"
'Cross my heart, strike me dead, stick a lobster on my head.'"We will soon." Kardan answered, turning back to the Revenant-toting woman. "We should assemble the combat-capable personnel to lay down the plans. We'll need precise planning if we're going to clear out the silo with minimum casualties."
He thought for a moment. "Maybe I can convince Saar to give us some reinforcements."

Jordan patched through once Amy was finished, on the COM of the entire team.
"We're stuck here for a while anyway. If nobody else minds - and chances are everyone else is already gearing up - then we'll go out on the operation. That sound good?"
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.""It wouldn't hurt to sit down and lay out the details of the operation." Kardan spoke. "We'll need reinforcements, and our plan might well hinge on your non-combat personnel being able to fight and hold the line. On top of that, your crew needs rest after getting shook up by whatever the hell put those holes in your ships, and we'll have the cover of darkness working in our favor if we attack at night."
He activated his omnitool again, placing another call to Saar.
"Yeah?" The deep voice answered, accompanied by a whispering sound in the background.
"Saar, we need some extra muscle for backup."
"Don't push your luck, Kardan."
"It sounds like your clan wants the damn place reclaimed soon anyway. Would you rather have Clan Jurdon lose more fighting strength later or take a risk now?"
"... I'd have cut this line if I haven't known you for the better part of a decade. How many?"
"A handful will do. Scouts preferred."
"... I can do that."
"Send them to the spaceport in full gear as soon as possible." Kardan almost cut the line before catching himself. "And Saar?"
"Yes?"
"Do you want Karitt's helmet for a trophy, or do you just need to see it?"
"I've no need for trophies from a mongrel like Karitt. I just need to see that he is dead. Mangle him all you like."
"Got it. Kardan out."
Switching off the channel, he turned back towards the group, looking over the clanless krogans.
"Looks like we have what those hotheads need. Officers, does either one of your ships have a heavy cargo hauler?"

"I will, thanks," Joe replied. "Maybe I'll even bump into you there in the future. Although don't know if you'll be there anytime soon, what with the beating your ship took." He let out a low whistle, "Yes siree, you look like you've got quite a bit of repairs to do... it would sure be a downright shame if you lost any of your engineers in the crossfire."
Marik shivered. That won't happen, though. That's why I'm here. I won't let that happen. A little later, he realized what the human was hinting at. He's stuck here after all...
"Speaking of that, Joe, it's not exactly my place to say this, but how would you like to work on the Ozzy for a bit? At least until we reach a port where you can make your own way towards whatever you want. I'm sure Katie, err, the Captain will agree if she understands your situation. So what do you say?"

"But I do seem to remmber there being a set of wheels delivered with the Ham. Here's hoping it wasn't jettisoned or blasted or something like that." She headed towards the Hamurabi, only one way to find out. "If we get involved in some sort of krogan blood feud over this, there will be keelhaulings." As many of her more venomous quips, this one was mostly directed at herself, but audible in volume.

Liveblog | Deadblog"Last I heard, Quash Karitt got exiled after a spat with his uncle. Most Blood Pack don't keep close ties with their clans anyhow." Kardan replied. "In any case, it'll also be helpful if you could compile a list of all nonessential non-combat personnel on both ships that have combat experience, and a list of all the extra weapons and armor you might have to equip them with."
The Doctor smiled. "Thanks, Joe. I try to be the reasonable one of our crew." Though that doesn't always work. "Not that the rest of the crew is bad, some can just be... dysfunctional. We're a sort of family, I guess you could say. You'll like them, I'm sure. Ah, here we are."
They had finally reached the ship, managing to avoid anything more than some glares from krogan along the way. I'm sure Joe's presence helped deter trouble a bit. Marik sent messages to the appropriate crew telling them that he had brought the parts back. To Kate, he added what he had suggested to Joe.

"I can take the Krogan with me and cover the feint, provided they get the proper equipment and i have a solid team behind me."
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank Hill"If you're going with those clanless to cover the barracks entrance, take one or two of the Clan Jurdon scouts with you; I wouldn't trust those five to hold their ground. The rest will go with the loading bay team." Kardan suggested.
Now that he considered it, having noncombat crewmen hold the ground seemed like an even sillier idea.

Jordan listened to Kardan's plan.
"Alright. It sounds like a good plan. NCCs fighting isn't exactly going to be good - I mean, most of them probably at best have handgun training and that's that. We'll need to give them time to rest, and even then, if we manage to get them to agree, we'll have to train them in assault weapons usage for effective power. Then they wouldn't exactly be non-combat crewmen, would they? Other than that, a stealthy night attack sounds tactically sound. You've got a good head, Kardan. Try not to lose it to a sniper, eh?"
Thinking for a few seconds, he eventually walked over to Amy, bored and seeking conversation.

Dru cast a nervous glance at the five krogans in the group. He was afraid they might have heard what the batarian had said about them not being able to hold their ground.
He spoke up. "Hey, I think you might want to be a little careful about what you say around these guys. We are on their homeworld after all, and they are about twice our size."
'Cross my heart, strike me dead, stick a lobster on my head.'He promptly looked at Amy. "As for your plan, if you think that you'll be able to keep those five clanless under control, then go ahead and lead them in. Not sure who'll be backing you up, but knowing us, we'll have a few volunteers."
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Una found what she was looking for. The carrying four-wheeled vehicle wasn't much larger than two krogans or so, but it could haul some weight. Much to her surprise, it worked ok too. Revving the buggy up, she brought it to the de facto meeting spot. "So, let's talk numbers." She said, parking the vehicle. "How many people do we have to shoot, all in all?"

"Yeah, I actually was for a while, you know." Joe responded to Marik, "I got a bit bored just fixing things up by day and playing around on the Extranet by night, just another face in the crowd. I guess you could relate, but I didn't want to join up with some merc band and let them use me as a meatshield, so my options were a bit limited. But then one I just started taking interesting jobs on Godforsaken planets that people tended to avoid."
