Haven't seen anyone on the forums talking about this series yet and there isn't any references to it on any trope pages so I thought I might throw out my thoughts and drum up some interest and see if we can get something going for it.
So far there are only 2 books out in the trilogy (Wolfsangel and Fenrir) and I haven't quite finished Fenrir, but I'm getting close. This story is all about "You can't fight fate". It's an interesting take on the werewolf mythology in the Norse lands of medival Europe. It is a dark, gritty and violent story, but has solid characters that you want to see succeed in their goals. It does a very good job of setting up a solid backstory without front loading all the information. We get some backstory sprinkled thoughout the books to break up the pacing and to give us some more information about what has gone on before but except for a one or two instances it felt like it fit well and was relevent to what was going on in the present. I don't want to talk too much about the characters because I feel like I would end up saying too much and possibly ruining some surprises.
I am a big Joe Ambercrombie fan and so far this has much the same feel that his stories have. I guess I'll end the review part there primarily for fear of giving too much away.
I've never started a page for anything before and really only feel comfortable editing and adding links and tropes to a page. Just kind of throwing this out there and I'll start filling it the tropes the this series on pages as I think about, but if someone more experienced could start up something for this series it would be great. This is definitely a good read and would highly recommend it.
