I would like to discuss the comic strips that appear in the thing known as a newspaper. Just general discussion of the medium, or of strips not covered in other threads.
You can talk about recent strips, but I would like to focus on vintage comics. I mean comics up to the late Great Depression, back when sunday strips took up an entire page and all was beautiful.
This was inspired by my recent purchase of The Smithsonian Collection of Newspaper Comics by Bill Blackbeard and Martin Williams. If you can find this awesome tome, I would suggest snatching it up immediately.
