1333. I will tell the noob the game is about post nuclear Europe and not love struck vampires before we start.
That's right folks, everyone's favorite game of what the mid-eighties imagined the Third World War would look like in the mid-nineties! For those unfamiliar with the game, the basic premise is that the Soviet Union engaged in a war with the People's Republic of China, drew a lot of Warsaw Pact troops into a meat grinder, dissatisfied East German officers conspired with West German officers to launch an invasion (and coup) that would eventually draw (parts) of NATO into a confrontation with (most of) the Warsaw Pact. That was 1996. With the whole world slowly devolving into war, and commitments all around the globe, the Soviet Union first used tactical nuclear weapons on July 9th 1997. NATO answered in kind, though neither side escalated to ICBMs.
The year is now 2000, the most recent NATO offensive to break through to the Baltic coastal states has been turned back by a combined Polish and Soviet Army. The western half of the continent descended into chaos as the survivors of the attack retreat back towards Germany and 'home'. Units are loosing cohesion above the platoon and company level. Or is it 1996, with the Soviets riding across the border into northern China? Is it 1997 in Alaska, with the Soviets pushing along the coast towards Alaska with two mechanized brigades?
If you're interested, say so! Include any preferences/ideas for a campaign to be considered at the same time, if you have either. (same goes for which side of the conflict and all that. Player interest shall decide)
