Trixip almost suggested Ana, too.
:D
Sanity? Why would I need a useless thing like that? Now posting as Motor-Runner.Why would we want to attack the diggers? Now I'm tempted to use Detect Magic... or maybe Charm Person, but that's in one slot.
I think I'll tweak the spell slots for the next day...
Sanity? Why would I need a useless thing like that? Now posting as Motor-Runner.Two things:
- I used the word 'honest' for a reason.
- I think the necromancer is Shapur or something... The guy who killed the raiders...
Yeah, true. I planned to use Ghost Sound to fool the men, since their looking around seems shady...
But the question: Why would the miners attack? Or shall I Detect Magic?
Sanity? Why would I need a useless thing like that? Now posting as Motor-Runner.I wish you the same, SKJAM! And Merry Christmas/Hanukkah/Winter Holiday to everyone.
Also, posting now. I smell quest.
Sanity? Why would I need a useless thing like that? Now posting as Motor-Runner.I should be able to get back to my regular schedule in about two days' time.
Either Trixip or Francis should be able to use Locate Secret Doors if needed, although I don't know how useful it'll be in this case, and it'll take a day to prepare. Either one should also be able to cover for Detect Thoughts.
Awaiting reply from GM: we'll decide what the party wants to do after. I'm fine with anything.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. So am I, but I'm stuck posting with my phone for a while.
Sanity? Why would I need a useless thing like that? Now posting as Motor-Runner.Good thing I saved my spells.
Sanity? Why would I need a useless thing like that? Now posting as Motor-Runner.Trixip is a gnome. Grax is the goblin.
Mono'a is human.
Speaking of which, Heath hasn't posted in a while.

Sanity? Why would I need a useless thing like that? Now posting as Motor-Runner.Okay, I propose the following plan.
As suggested in-character:
Step 1: Nearly everyone's likely to have better Perception than Francis, so they should use it and get a rough estimate of the number of bandits present and if there are any archers hidden. Trixip's owl familiar should be helpful as well. EDIT: Forgot Elail's eagle. That helps too.
Next steps would be:
Step 2: If there's still insufficient indication as to their intent or numbers, Francis will cast Detect Thoughts
if within range for the maximum number of rounds. Should the spell succeed, this will allow the party to find out those details.
Step 3: If hostile (most likely), prepare ranged attacks and spells as required, and get a pre-emptive attack off.
