Didn't help me any. I just finished the pilot, and I only have the vaguest clue of what's going on. Those two, I forget their names, are assigned to the warehouse. Some guy has a thing going on with Italian. Something that things are thrown into to stop them from doing bad things. A ferret.

They overrely on the famous people/events. There was an episode where Mrs, Frederick took a character to see an Artifact being created, and she was a bit shocked that Artifacts could be made by people without a Wikipedia page.
Fresh-eyed movie blogLike Artie said, if a radio fell out of the sky and was found by Thomas Jefferson, he'd lock it up until he was sure it wouldn't hurt him. They lock up the dangerous ones, and the ones that aren't dangerous they bring along to use, but they still don't understand them.
Fresh-eyed movie blogSo the final season started airing yesterday. I liked the episode. Sort of. The effects budget is obviously larger, but it's kind of odd that the show gives this dichotomy between Don't touch the artifacts and EXPERIMENT ON RANDOM PEOPLE WITH THEM! and it doesn't really talk about anything in between.
Also...badly animated purple bird. That is all.
They do use some artifacts beyond the original purpose. Claudia repurposes them all the time.
Problem with Paracelsus isn't that he was experimenting with artifacts, it's that he didn't have any reason for doing so. He was just doing it for the sake of seeing what would happen without any regard for the consequences.
And I would bet that he kept the Warehouse in Reed Richards Is Useless mode despite the focus on science.
And what was up with that bird...

Don't know if it's region locked, but it's on Sy Fy.com. It does have the "select and sign into your provider" wall though.
Well, I saw the series finale tonight, and listened to someone reading Eddie Mc Clintock's tweets. That was an awesome way to end the show. And the tweets were funny and cool at the same time. He even tweeted that he'd be back, he was helping his wife unload groceries. Respect for the man goes up a level.
Haven't watched the Finale yet so I may be talking a bit early but I've been significantly ticked that there are only six damn episodes to finish off a 6 season series and how, after 5 seasons of consistently hammering in that Myka and Pete aren't interested in each other and Word of God saying that they are platonic life partners to every person who asked if they'd hook up, enough that an entire episode last season or so's main joke/plot was 'Oh crap. They hooked up because of an artifact and that's going to ruin their friendship'.
I'm also significantly bothered that Steve Jinks, while an interesting character, never really grew much out of his 'I can sense lies and I'm gay' character definition after his introduction season where he saw the most plot relevance. He's just sort of been there when they need a character for something... Which is sad because they had a great bad ass gay character that could rival Jack Harkness in being a poster boy for badass gay characters that aren't effeminate and a stereotype. That and his relationship with Claudia was fun, but feels one sided when Claudia gets all the fun character development and Jinks just helps her along.
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing. My DVR cut off the very ending. What happened? I saw Claudia as the new caretaker, and she was about to do something to the table, and then my DVR cut off there. What happened?
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!

A friend recommended this series to me. Going in totally blind, what should I know?
