I found it horribly boring. Ditto for Surfs Up, actually.
Funnily, I've always loved March Of The Penguins.
No
The environmental message wasn't the problem, nor was it the cliches.
No,the opening credits implied I was getting a sci-fi kind of movie, and then they talked about aliens,...whoch turned out just to be humans, rendering it all a Big-Lipped Alligator Moment when it was easily a better premise
Egh... Not my kinda music, not my kinda film.
And they butchered a Queen song, the fuckers.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Everyone I knew loved it when it came out. I was about 8 or something.
But I saw it on TV for the first time when I was about 14, and I thought "...Jesus H, why does everyone love this?" It's meant to be about a tapdancing penguin, but it's so serious and slow. Not to mention painful (the Somebody to Love segment springs to mind).
Though the animation was pretty good, it was just too slow, too painful and TOO SERIOUS.

While I was okay with the first half of the movie, the latter half with the "humans are ruining the environment" aspect ruined the movie.
I'm fine with Green Aesops* but adding one to this movie just felt plain out of place...which considering how the plot was originally about aliens, might make the feeling justified.

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.Mumble's father is named Memphis because he's based off of Elvis Presley. Remember the accent and his opening song being "Heartbreak Hotel"?
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I honestly never saw Happy Feet, so I cannot vouch for it either way.

Some of friends were talking about Happy Feet 2, and they seemed excited. Apparently they liked the first one. I, for one, hated it.
I mean, the first was tangential, because it started out about "finding yourself" and "fitting in" and slowly degraded into preachy environmental messages. It was way too long also. Obviously the only reason for a second one being made was for the money, but do they think there's a fanbase for it?
I feel like I could touch the heavens, and sock angels. Element of Indecision.
