If they already think like that, near 100%.
Just cram DJ Shadow's first record down their throat, they'll listen eventually.

Just don't say you use Garageband, and make sure you don't use anything that would identify it as Garageband.

Except it doesn't have several basic functions a DAW should have, like tempo or time signature change.

Or you could just automate the tempo...
Most of the people who rag on Garageband, as far as I can tell, have never actually used Garageband.

Just dropping in to complain about the lack of a version of GarageBand for Windows machines. :/

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.

I'm in the process of writing my own songs (lyrics and music). I might end up playing a CD of it for some random person I know. When they inevitably ask how I made the music, I will tell the truth and say, "I used my keyboard as a piano and played it on Garageband." What are the chances of them thinking I'm (and these aren't my words)* "a complete noob who relies on loops and mistakenly thinks they have musical talent," despite the fact that I wrote the music to the song, but just happened to produce it in Garageband?
Basically, what are the chances they'll hear, "Garageband" and tune out immediately?
I'm not using loops in my songs at all, but I have nothing against anyone who does. I'm going to play all of the parts using the software instruments. I used to be able to read music (but I forgot it due to lack of practice and am brushing up on it), but I fortunately have the ability to play/recognize a melody or chord progression by ear.
