Frig it.
I'm tagging a spot. My army bio will be up soon.
Bear with me on this one. I did read the rules, so don't eject me because I'm playing an EU army. Read up on it.
- Name: European Union
- Universe: Battlefield (2142-era)
- Strengths: Thanks to fighting in a war known only as The Cold War (literally), the EU is able to fight unlike any other side in cold conditions. Because of the way their weapons, armor, and vehicles are built, they absolutely excel in arctic, subarctic, and tundra combat zones. (This basically means that their weapons will almost never freeze up.)
- Weakness: However, this extreme ability to fight in the cold means that the EU is also bad at fighting in warm-weather conditions. While regular temperate conditions don't have much effect, hot and sunny temperatures, like in desert or half-desert half-temperate areas can often cripple the EU war machine with severe overheating. (In other words: if weapons can overheat, EU weapons will overheat twice as fast in conditions over ten to fifteen degrees)
- Army Bio: You should know the European Union: they are a real-world thing, consisting of twenty-seven nations. However, this EU hails from a far future. In the 22nd century, a second Ice Age has started (second that humanity has experienced anyhow), and it's frozen over most of the Northern and Southern hemispheres. This Ice Age started The Cold War of the 22nd Century, a desperate battle between the European Union and Pan-Asian Coalition for the last habitable, crop-bearing land on the planet near the equator. Though the war eventually ended in a ceasefire, it did not end without extremely severe casualties on both sides: the exact figure is unknown, but it can be safely assumed that hundreds of millions were killed on both teams. The EU are a disciplined fighting force, and not one to be underestimated.
- Leader: The Supreme Commander of the European Union military force is Rod Chevas. He is the director of the EU military.
- Hero 1: Lieutenant Corporal Wilfred Vendetti is an experienced military commander, who understands the infantry edge to the point where he fights on the battlefields with his own troops. Unlike standard EU soldiers that carry SCAR-11s
◊, Lt Cp. Vendetti carries a BOFORS Defense Rifle
◊, a bulkier, yet more powerful and faster-firing assault rifle as compared to the SCAR-11^. He also wears heavier armor than most, and has all class abilities: this comes at the price that since he is fighting on the front-lines, where the action is heaviest, Vendetti has the highest chance of being killed.
- Hero 2: 1st Lieutenant Kyla Basley is what could be best construed as a Battlewalker veteran. She is not normally found on the front-lines, but rather making flanking maneuvers around the enemies, fighting in risky areas, but not where the action is greatest. Kyla carries a Voss L-AR
◊ for emergency situations, and pilots a heavily modified L5 Riesig Battlewalker
◊, equipped with four gatling guns instead of two, the standard infrared/radar-guided missile system, two AA/AP machine-gun turrets in place of one, and instead of an EMP missile launcher, an advanced, prototype anti-missile system utilizing a combination of missile jammers and low-power lasers, designed for the sole purpose of shooting down homing missiles before they get close. She also has thicker armor, and a more powerful powerplant, allowing for faster speed on the move.
- Hero 3: "Speziale", as he is known, is the top operative for the European Union's black operations division. He is one of the deadliest men you will meet, seeing as he works as a sniper: his specialized Zeller-H sniper rifle
◊ can usually take down most infantry in one shot. If he is found, or needs to perform up-close covert operations, his modified Lambert Carbine
◊, carrying a supressor, while not being the best assault rifle to use is more than adequate enough to get the job done and eliminate the threat. For extra stealth, Speziale also carries an active camoflague system: the system, however, is not perfect; it only masks light, it is completely ineffective in precipitation, gives off an electromagnetic field signature when active, doesn't mask infrared emissions, and can only be used for a limited time before overheating. However, in temperatures below -30 degrees Celsius, the cloaking device will take much longer to overheat than usual.^^
Now, this one kind of bends the rules: real-world militaries are not allowed. I did read that. However, this EU military only shares the name with our EU: their weapons are advanced, their vehicles are beyond ours, and they are much different from what we have (if the pics so far are any indication).
^The BOFORS Defense Rifle, in BF 2142, was actually a pre-order skin for the SCAR-11. However, I have decided to differentiate it somewhat.
^^The cloaking device duration can be set by the GM. However, it will have a near-infinite duration in very cold environments.
Just PM me and I'll give you a general overview of the units (each of the four classes, plus the vehicles): you can stat them from there as you wish.

Yes, however, I've applied for that slot with the EU. I'm not completely accepted, but go ahead and make the dossier anyway. If I get rejected, pounce.

Are we getting a discussion thread?
