Nanami ate the mushroom, and said, "Whoo. Spicy." Trying to cool down her mouth, she took another drink of her soda, and gasped with relief. "Ahh... Good thing I ordered purple and not red or yellow." she said, "Still, pretty flavorful." Then, noticing Virgil's return, she thought Oh great. That creep is back.
Riko ignored Virgil's talk with Asayu, and finished her ramen as well.
[Dining]
Asayu considered the coins. "Quite an offer. In fact, normally, I'd take it and drag you into the nearest lockable room. But..." she peered into the wallet suspiciously, "how do I know this place isn't designed to stop large objects from leaving into new universes? Think what someone from a universe with perfect alchemy could do other universes?" One of the maids appeared to answer Asayu's question, but she gave it a dismissive wave, tossed the coin pouch back at Virgil and continued, "I think the only thing I can take back is memories." She flagged down one of the waiters. "A... ah, what was it called? Oh, yes, a 'pan-galactic gargle blaster' for Virgil here!" The waiter bustled off, and Asayu smiled dangerously at Virgil.
Rachel decided to ignore Asayu for the time being — she was up to no good, clearly. Rachel said, "like Asayu said, I am — well, I was an actuary. I worked for an home insurance company in Seattle, helping to calculate when it was time to raise or lower insurance premiums for an area." Looking down at the table, Rachel said, glumly, "then everything went to hell."
[Dining]
Virgil gently placed his hand upon Asayu's, causing Christine to jump, thinking he was going to try something.
"Don't try and get me drinks and butter me up. I have your damn gold, and you're going to accept my offer, okay?"
Christine couldn't help but look on at the conversation, too intimidated to speak. Eventually though, she managed to slip out;
"A... Accept his offer..."
Even Virgil was surprised to hear that one, dropping his cigarette on the floor, causing him to stamp it out before it started a fire.
[Dining]
The maid from when Asayu had made her previous comment was standing next to her, now with what appeared to be some sort of tablet board.
Behind her, was the maid from the last time Virgil was warned, with a dark black and white uniform, and gray hair in braids, who was watching the conversation intently.
[Pool -> Tennis Courts -> Golf Course]
Kurako was now moving at lightning speed, and had managed to clear the pool area and tennis courts of pigeons, and was now teleporting around the golf course, eliminating them at a pace equivalent to a marching beat.
Shiko stayed positioned on the pathway near the equipment hut, and dissociated them at long range. At this rate, maybe we'll actually be done soon. she thought.

"You don't get it," Asayu said, brushing Virgil's hand away and sliding the wallet back to him. "I never wanted your gold." Sliding the Gargle Blaster in front of him, she said, "you that afraid of a drink?"
Rachel cringed. Yeah, this was gonna get ugly. Pointedly ignoring them, Rachel said, "well, turns out one of my long-distant ancestors cheated a horror from beyond reality in what was supposed to be a diabolical contract." Her tone alarmingly casual, she said, "so now there are mages trying to sacrifice me. And MIB types who want me as a lab rat. The first lot would have succeeded if Asayu there hadn't been hunting them — followed them through the portal, killed 'em off, but got a nasty wound in the process." She cringed at the memory. "We patched her up, and my dad — a linguist — figured out the language. Long story short, I haven't been able to stay in one place for long since."
Dining hall
Qrlil tipped her head sideways. "It seems terribly unfair that you should have to suffer for something your ancestors did," she began, when she caught the black-and-blue scent of rising human adrenaline. It was only a mild amount, but it was enough to make her nervous. She turned to see what looked like the makings of a confrontation between Virgil and Asayu.
Oh, dear. This seems... dangerous.
She had experienced a brief confrontation during her first visit to the Cantina, but that had been a long time ago, and she hadn't believed it was real at the time. That luxury was gone now, and she still didn't feel safe with her backup.
She ran her fingers over her sleeve in a pattern she hadn't wanted to use here. The colors of her robes washed out slightly, leaving them a pale gray somewhat darker then her scales, and the texture grew slightly harder to the touch. Slightly reassured, she turned back to Rachel.
"So, you and Asayu travel together now, then?"

Virgil scoffed at Asayu. Please... he was an immortal, no amount of alcohol could have any effect on his body. Confidently taking the drink off the table, Virgil downed it all at once... then promptly passed out. Christine was amazed... that drink actually managed to do something no one else could. At least now, she could speak.
"What?!... But... How?! That doesn't even make sense!"
Looking over to Asayu, she asked;
"Why did you do that to him?!"
[Dining]
"Whoa. What was in that?" Riko said, amazed by Virgil's sudden collapse.
"That name sounds familiar... but what would it be?" Nanami said, sneaking a sniff of the now-empty glass. "Whoo - I don't know, but that doesn't smell like just alcohol, to me."
[Dining]
Seeing as his own stupidity had apparently done Virgil in, the two maids promptly disappeared.
[Golf Course -> Forest -> Parking Lot]
Kurako continued her frantic pigeon removal process, having cleared the golf course and forest, with the parking lot now nearly empty.

Asayu grinned triumphantly and said, "behold, the legendary Gargle Blaster. I think all my universe's problems would be cured — or made a thousand times worse — if we could shove one down one of the thousand mouths of the God Eater." She chuckled and said, "so, anyone wanna help me carry this sack of shit up to my room?" She grabbed his limp body by the arms, and waited to see if anyone else would grab the legs for her.
Rachel stared at the result of the gargle blaster, then shook her head. Of course. It was the gargle blaster. Then she returned her attention back to Qrlil. "Alright, yeah, we travel together. And no, despite what my dear parents would have you think, we are not a couple. And as for it being unfair that I'm being punished for my ancestor's deeds? Yeah, I'm with you... but the mages aren't. They're more into murder than justice."
[Dining]
Kat, having picked up his camera and resuming filming, picked up the glass and sniffed it. Almost immediately, his nerves perked up and buzzed.
"Whoo," he said, setting the glass back down. "I knew that packed a wallop, but whoa. That's just... if simply the smell is that powerful..." He frowned. "But Xavier took a drink from it and simply got badly drunk." He eyed the drink cautiously. "Wonder what's in it? Probably nothing good."
He got up and grabbed Virgil's legs. "Lead the way," he said to Asayu.

Dining hall
Qrlil hissed to herself. And that apparently is the end of that. She brushed her fingers over her sleeve again, and her robe returned to its pale blue and red patterning.
"I suggest, from personal experience, you don't drink that," she told Kat as he went by. She turned back to Rachel.
"I must say, given the life you describe leading, you still seem to be a fairly happy person," she said.
Xander walked in smoking as he went to get a sandwich, but soon noticed the situation. He walked over, "What happened to pervo here," he gestured toward Virgil, who was now being carried away.
Xander sat down at the table and called a maid, "Anything that'll fill me for the while."
He took another breath on his cigarette and then turned toward the rest of the group, "So how are you all?"
[Dining]
"Legendary, indeed." Nanami said, watching them carry Virgil away. Then, noticing her drink was empty, said to a maid, "I think I'll have a blue-flavored soda next."
Riko was relieved that Virgil had left, but upon seeing Xander sit down and continue smoking, she said, "Ahem. Do you think you could quit the indoor smoking? We just got rid of the last person that did that."
[Parking Lot -> Roof]
Kurako having now cleared out the parking lot, made a flying leap onto the Resort roof, and was removing pigeons left and right.
The sun had begun its slow trek downward from the top of the sky, continuing to shine brightly and warm the resort grounds.

"We endure," Rachel said simply. "My mother suffered far worse than I ever did at the hands of the Revolutionary Guard. I have to stay on the move a lot, and I've had to get used to living lean. But I have my family, my friends, my freedom. That's more than many can say." She sighed wistfully and said, "it's not an easy life... but we endure."
[Dining —> Rooms]
"We're heading to room thirteen," Asayu said, "and I'd like to get there before he regains consciousness." Courtesy of the warp doors, it was a short walk, whereupon Asayu tossed Virgil on the bed and deftly tied him to it. Normally she charged for it... and normally she left some slack to avoid causing the customer discomfort. But not in this case. It'd be a hell of a struggle to get out of it. "Stay with me," Asayu whispered to Kat, "in case he wakes up before I'm done here. If he asks, the ropes were his idea."

"Will do," said Kat. He panned over the bonds with his camera before turning it off and putting it away. "You just restraining him, or are you gonna get kinky?"
It would certainly fit in with what he saw of her personality. It seemed there were no lines she wouldn't cross. Kat couldn't tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
Or maybe it was just a neutral thing. Who knew?

Ah, the pieces start to come together...
Dining hall
Qrlil looked down briefly. "I am not much like that kind of person, I think," she said, more to herself then to Rachel. She turned briefly and glanced out the windows, eyes slightly widening with sudden dismay. It was much later in the day then she had realized.
She began quickly gulping down the rest of her water. "So, what do you plan on doing right now?" she asked Rachel.

It appeared that Asayu had spoken too soon, considering that Virgil had come to shortly after being tied up. He surveyed his surroundings, and without struggling, uttered;
"Now this is just ridiculous... What is you want to do? Did you want to fuck me, and were just to proud to admit it, and planned to jump on me while I was unconscious, or were you planning on killing me? Either way... go ahead and try."
Virgil began laughing to himself, wondering how Asayu would react.
Xander took one more drag before putting it out, "Sorry about that, I kind of have a lot of issues right now," he breathed out as he his sandwich arrived, which he took a bit out of before setting it down to breath, "So nay I ask again, how are you all," he thought about that for a second, "Who are you might be a better question."
Yuki groaned as consciousness forced itself upon her. The light assaulted her vision, even through her eyelids, forcing her to roll over in a vain attempt to avoid it.
After several minutes laying and waiting for sleep to reclaim her, she finally resigned herself to joining the world again. Her head felt like it had been hit with a sledgehammer, and nearly every muscle in her body was sore to some degree.
Sitting up and running a hand through her hair, she glanced around the room. Amaya dozed in the chair nearby. Her sword now leaned up against a wall. Hadn't it been in her bag?
She stood, rubbing her eyes and stretching. The first thing she needed was definitely a shower, she decided. Stepping into the bathroom, she turned on the hot water.

"I'm Riko, and this is Nanami." Riko said to Xander, "And you are?"
[Roof -> Beach / Rooms]
Kurako had cleared all the pigeons off the roofs, and was staggering towards what appeared to be the last one, meandering around the Beach. She netted it, with an out-of breath "Ha - gotcha."
It vanished in a black flash, with Shiko walking behind her.
"So, did we get them all?" Kurako said, looking around at the total lack of pigeons.
"Yes, that was the last one." Shiko said.
"M'kay - then I'll just take a quick br—" Kurako said while lying down on the sand, and promptly falling asleep.
"I'll check on the others, then." Shiko said, walking back to the Resort and going to her room.
"Zzzzzzz...." was all Kurako said in reply.

Asayu feigned confusion. "Just a minute ago, you were asking me to tie you up, and now you're accusing me of planning to murder you? In this place?" She turned to Kat and said, "remember how enthusiastic he was about the whole idea? I mean, we had to carry you here, but you were definitely very clear on what you wanted." She shook her head and said, "by Sulah, I guess it must've been the Gargle Blaster talking."
She had been planning to leave him with a false impression, but... well, she'd try and figure her way out of this one. Despite her contempt for him, she wasn't completely averse to actually doing the deed — a fact that would, with good reason, probably alarm any trained psychologist. But at the very least, she was going to pry some entertainment out of him first.
[Dining]
Rachel, with remarkable calm, said, "keep moving, keep surviving. Heard rumors about some bastard child of Amu on Earth, might be useful. But it's probably nothing." She frowned, considering. It was amazing how used to the life she'd gotten. She continued, "but hey, at least chasing rumors gives me something to do."
Wesley heard a door shut as he exited his room. Looking around, he realized someone must have just entered one of the other rooms. Shrugging, he made his way over to the bar. He stepped through the door to the bar and noticed the time first. Looking out the window, he felt a bit of chagrin at just how late in the day it was. He spotted Saliha sitting alone at the bar. Odd. Where was Xavier? Last he saw, the two of them seemed inseparable.
Setting his pack down next to her, he picked the seat next to her. She only appeared to notice him when he sat down, having been staring at the bar top in concentration. She gave a nod, and Wesley smiled. “What took you so long, Wes?” “My turn first. What’s so interesting about the wood grain of this bar?” She turned away, looking self-conscious. “… Don’t want to talk about it?” She nodded, still looking away. “Can I help?” She shook her head this time. After a period of silence, Wesley nodded in assent. “Okay. It’s not going to be too much of a distraction, is it?” She hesitated, before shaking her head again vigorously. “That’s good.” Wesley ordered a heavy breakfast (served at any time) and sat back, stretching.

Qrlil blinked, not understanding any of those references. She tried to clarify.
"Actually, I meant what you were going to do right now. I am just about done with my water, and it is getting later in the day, so I was about to leave. I was wondering about what you planned on doing next so that I could consider whether or not I might want to join you."
She gulped down the last of her water.

"I have met a few other ambassadors, at least," Qrlil said. "There do seem to be a few professions disproportionately represented... but I don't think anyone here would want to go into that subject again."
She looked at Rachel. "So what is it you do now, then?"
She blinked as Virgil sat down. "Excuse me, if it is not rude to ask, who exactly are you?"
