I like the idea of it being a subtle "Sit tight" message from Timm himself.
I don't know, but they are important enough to get a meeting with the head honchos.

Because the WB might care what they think, and the WB are Cartoon Networks boss. Plus it seems like it might be something that was founded by studios or with influence of studios; how else does a small start-up get a confirmed audience with studio heads.
I personally think it might be the studios trying to get in on this crowdfunding action. Kinda like the Veronica Mars kickstarter but without the fees and with ad revenue, though that could be a double edged sword:
So, latest update from smgo.tv says that Warner Bros. said "no", since they don't believe the goals can be met.
Honestly, it's not surprising, but still disappointing to hear.

Donate money to Skullgirls, get a sweet poster.Giancarlo Volpe was interviewed in this podcast
and talks about some more plans for season two. Skip to around 38-39 to listen to them.
The whole interview is pretty interesting, though. Talks about the state of animation in general, etc.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).No. They were just discussing What Could Have Been.

Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Well, I managed to finish the show on Netflix before it leaves on the 30th.
Goddang it, CN! Why did you drop the axe on this awesome show?!
I mean, come on! There's still so much stuff to go on!
- Razer becoming a Blue Lantern!
- John Stewart getting a name drop!
- The potential return of Aya after her Redemption Equals Death phase!
- Carol Ferris keeping the Star Sapphire ring!
- No Yellow Lanterns? Even though they established Sinestro?!
Pfffft. "Didn't sell enough toys" my eye! Those guys just had very little faith obviously! Seriously, revive it on [adult swim] or something! I just want to see more of this!
Goddang CN conformists.
