And we have what many are considering the COOLEST MOVIE POSTER ever created. I already made it the main image on the Transformers: Age of Extinction page.

There is a robot with a beard. I assume it's the John Goodman one. Optimus Prime is riding a dinosaur.

Eeeeeeeeeeee

It's so stupid that it's wrapped around to being cool! Like cars that become robots.

I know that the movie will probably be kinda dumb and loud but damn if it doesn't hit a very specific pleasure centre in my brain.

Cleaner version of metal trailer:

Considering that these films are a Guilty Pleasure of mine (well, the first and third at least), I'm really looking forward to this one. Helps that Bay's last film was Pain and Gain, and it looks like that experience has really rubbed off on him in a positive manner.

Bet they chose Hong Kong because Pacific Rim. Bet a lot of improvements will have come from the challenge that film issued.

The robot is smoking a giant metal cigar.

DOTM already had a great deal of improvement with regards to minimizing the Shaky Cam and fewer edits, which was mandatory when it comes to making a 3-D movie. You know, the more information I have on Bay understanding his directing style, I can safely say that he is just as much a victim of Executive Meddling as anyone else. He is often brought in to make these hugely commercial movies and does good work with them, but even he admitted that both ROTF and DOTM had their release dates set as the summer tentpole movie for the studio and was not really his choice, which (especially in the case of ROTF) put them on a breakneck time table. Having a longer production schedule may be beneficial.

On another note, I realized Grimlock's new robot appearance evokes Predaking. Which makes sense, as now that I think about it Predaking is sort of the Decepticon counterpart to Grimlock when it comes to personality, backstory and relationship with the faction leader. The show even made a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Dinobots but it is deeper than let on.

Dark of the Moon was definitely better. And now that The Beef (the weakest link) is out and Wahlberg is in, we can probably expect better acting overall.

Yup, I can see John Goodman's voice coming out of Beard Robot. What would a robot smoke anyhow?

Alternatively, he somehow smokes gunpowder.

In any way that's metal as fuck.

And by Bayformer standards, Hound has a very human-looking face. Must be the glorious robo-beard.

Good grief, Hound even has a human looking nose. I think if they had just designed their faces more like that people wouldn't be complaining about the robot designs as much.

I am going to assume some people here collect the toys. As far as the toys are concerned I am disappointed with the Leader class line-up, Optimus because he looks like a shellformer (backpack aside, most of the transformation goes into his legs while his entire upper body is unique to the robot mode) and Grimlock because he doesn't quite look good enough in either mode to justify it. If Grimlock's dino head was more proportional he probably would be a must-buy. His Voyager isn't much better, while more in proportion it looks too busy to appreciate the design.

Other than that, Hound is shaping up to be the must-have figure (second maybe to the G1 "Evasion Mode" Optimus). He's sleek in both forms and loaded with guns. Deco could be slightly better but it is a good sculpt all around. Most of the other Dinobots are also pretty cool, all of them have a Samurai/Knight motif.

Why does that guy always play Glasses Jerk in every movie he's in? He was also in Winter Soldier and... other stuff... being an utter prick...
