''Ah crap...that just threw my entire combo and any chance for a comeback out the window...' He looked at his hand, the remaining four cards in his hand. A contemplative look on his face. Maybe he could pull something that would at least protect him for the turn...
"Set another card facedown, and end my turn." he said, as another card appeared facedown. He was going to lose his monster next turn and he was gonna get hurt, badly, but if everything played out exactly as planned...
"Okay then. Draw time." Justin drew his next card. Not quite what I was wanting. Guess I'll need to go through with it then.
"Now the effects of both Woodsman and Ocean activate!" Justin declared. "I can bring Polymerisation back from the graveyard to my hand!"
Justin added said spell card to his hand. "Next, with Ocean's effect, I can bring back a Hero from the graveyard! And I choose Burstinatrix!"
The female hero was added to Justin's hand as well.
"Next, i'll be using Polymerisation once again!" Justin continued. "Ocean plus Woodsman makes Terra Firma!"
Next to Wingman, a white-armoured being appeared, a red gem in his chest.
2500/2000
"Now to activate Terra Firma's effect," Justin then said, a tinge of cautious excitement in his voice. "By sacrifing Flame Wingman, I can add his attack points to Terra's!"
Flame Wingman began to fade away as Terra Firma's attack rose to 4600. The monster in question flexed its arms as it grew in size.
And finally, I attack your gem Knight!" Justin concluded, and Terra firma charged forward. "Earth Magma Slash!"
The attack was enough to throw him off his feet and land a ways back on his back, in front of that new girl that showed up. Immediately realizing he looked like an idiot, he hoped to his feet and adjusted his glasses, his D-Gazer half of his glasses still working, thankfully.
"Not bad!" he said. "You managed to beat one of my best monsters...not a lot of people can make a claim to that."
Daisuke: 5900 -> 3800
"It was just luck, I guess." Justin laughed as he rubbed the back of his head. "Well, time to end my turn."
Been a while since I got such a large lead... wonder if I'll win? Justin thought. It certainly seemed possible, but all you needed was a single life point to turn the tables.
Unless you need to sacrifice life points to reverse the situation...
Carol looked down at him as he fell in front of her. She smiled, and teased him, "You just can't stay on your feet around me, can you?"
James continued, "And then, I summon the Chaos End Master!" An angelic looking monster appeared on his side of the field, light and dark energies flaring into existence around it as it appeared. (1500/1000)
"I now set two cards, and I end my turn."
He drew his card, silently hoping it was something he could use, something, ANYTHING. He looked at it and with a grin, he could!
"I summon Gem-Knight Tourmaline in attack mode!" he exclaimed as another monster appeared in front of him a warrior with yellow armor, lightning crackling over his form. (1600/1800)
"But before you're wondering what he can do, I can activate my trap card, Gem-Enhancement. See, unlike your Elemental Hero Fusions, my guys can be summoned from the grave, and with Gem-Enhancement, I can bring back Ruby with the low cost of giving up Tourmaline." he said. Tourmaline vanished and in his place was Ruby again. (2500/1300)
Now the tricky part. "Two monsters on the field with equal attack points.' Daisuke pointed out the obvious, as he was apt to do in a duel. Nervous habit or something. Maybe because he wasn't used to being in a crowd. Would explain why he didn't do well with tournaments. So, he cleared his throat and looked at the other three cards in his hand.
"I'll...I'll activate Gem-Knight Fusion's ability!" he said. His graveyard began to glow, and suddenly, Gem-Knight Sapphire slipped out of his graveyard. "By removing from play a Gem-K Night monster from my graveyard, I'm allowed to add it to my hand." he said, taking the much needed spell card and adding it to his hand.
"Now, I'll activate Swing of Memories, allowing me to summon Garnet back to my field." G Arnet appeared once again, throwing a punch. "Now, funny thing about Ruby, he's EXACTLY like Terra Firma: By offering one of my Gem Monsters, he gains his attack!" Garnet vanished into his blade, and he rose to 4400 Attack Points.
"Now let's see how your guy likes it! Ruby, attack his monster!" Ruby flew forward, axe held high.
Hmm... It seems like this guy is running a Chaos deck. I'll have to tread carefully...
"Draw!" shouted the teen, looking over his hand. He could work with this...
"I begin my turn by playing Terraforming! Any objections?"
"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValJustin merely watched Daisuke's actions, pretty much helpless to stop it. It was quite an ironic end for Terra Firma, he thought. Losing the same way he had defeated that monster - by borrowing an ally's strength.
Justin raised a hand over his eyes as Firma was destroyed and smoke blew from the collision. It was weird, shielding yourself from a hologram, but technology these days was so realistic, one couldn't help but do so.
Justin's life points dropped to 6100. Still a lead, but he wasn't going to keep it for long, seeing as he had very, very limited actions to take. currently, all of them pointed to 'throw Burstinatrix in defence mode and delay my loss by another turn'.
Meh, I did good, I think. Justin mentally shrugged. And this is quite a fun match. Too bad it'll be over soon...
"All right then, let's if I can turn the tables here..." Justin muttered, an excited grin on his face as he drew his next card. ...Yeah, this'll work!
"I activate Future Fusion!" Justin played his newly drawn spell card. "This will allow me to send fusion material monsters from my deck to the graveyard, and in two turns bring out a fusion monster!"
Justin then placed his two chosen monsters in the graveyard. "The monster I'm gonna fusion summon is Elemental Hero Gaia." Justin told Daisuke, grinning widely. "I choose Necroshade to fulfil the 'Hero monster' requirement, and Clayman for the 'earth' monster requirement!"
Now I just have to figure out how to last that long... Justin thought. In his current predicament, two turns was a lot to ask for. Now doubt Daisuke would summon at least one other monster during the wait, and Justin could bid farewell to the rest of his life points. Man, Blade Edge would be a welcome card to draw right now...
"Well, I summon a monster in defence mode." Justin concluded, summoning Burtinatrix face down. "And end my turn here."
Daisuke drew his card, frowning at it. It wouldn't help, not another monster. Man, with this deck he needed to invest in a De-Fusion or something. Lord knows it would help. Instead, he added it to his hand and pointed at his facedown card. "Ruby, attack his defense monster!"
Ruby flew forward, battle axe readied for the swing. Before the attack connected, Daisuke spoke up, "By the way, like Bladedge, another hero, he can deal damage to you through defense position monster!"
The axe came down.
"...Wait, what?" Justin replied in surprise. As the Gem Knight attacked, Burstinatrix appeared, crouching and crossing her arms in a futile attempt to block the vastly superior opponent.
After the firey hero was destroyed, Justin's Life Points fell from 6100 to 4400.
Well, this complicates things... Justin thought, although he maintained his grin.
Justin drew his card. Wow, putting this guy out on the field with that roaming around seems cruel. But...
"I summon a monster in defence mode!" Justin played his newly drawn card. As long as some other powerful monster wasn't drawn this turn, Justin was more or less all set. But he had to find some way to properly defend himself...
"I'll also play this here." Justin added, placing a trap card on the field. to be honest, it was entirely useless, but there was a slim chance it would ward of an attack, and the less damage Justin took, the better.
"Turn end." Justin concluded. "Think you can take me out this turn?"
Samantha walked down the street at a leisurely pace, paying more attention to the card in her hand than her surroundings. Okay, so the Hierophant represents knowledge, resp- she glanced up at the duelists, hey, what's going on over there?
The redhead slipped the card back into her deck and approached the group, looking between the duels, In one corner, Gem-Knights vs Future Fusion, Dragunities maybe? Hmm...And in the other, Chaos End Master and...what the..? I've never seen that card before, this should be good.
Burn up, hurricane of justice!"Here's hoping!" He drew his card and eyed it. THAT could work. Quite well, actually. He took the card in his hand and threw it forward. "I play Dark Factory of Mass Production! This lets me take my two Normal Monsters from my grave and add it to my hand, like Gem-Knight Tournaline and Gem-Knight Garnet."
He took the two monsters and immediately showed his spell card of choice. "Now I play Gem-Knight Fusion Again, this time fusing Tourmaline and Garnet to summon Gem-Knight Topaz!"
A Warrior, this one paved in gold armor, appeared, holding a staff of pure electrcity. Around his neck was an emerald cape. (1800/1800)
"Ruby! Attack his facedown monster!" Ruby once more launched himself forward.
"Really? Well, that's-" Justin sighed in resignation as he raised his duel disk, as if to block the incoming attack of the holographic monster. After the first strike, his life points fell to 1100.
"-Pretty convenient." Justin finished, before the second strike finished the match. The projections faded, and Justin walked towards Daisuke, holding his hand out for a handshake. "And I think I only needed one more turn as well. Eh, it was a great match anyway!"
Justin wasn't bothered by the loss, just like always. Winning wasn't important, it only marked the end of a fun duel, after all.
"Yeah it was! Really had me worried there for a few rounds." He chuckled. "Lucky draw on my part though. If I hadn't drawn Gem-Knight Fusion, you probably would have won!"
He approached him and held his hand out for him to shake. "Great match, though if you don't mind me saying...deck could use a little work." He looked over his shoulder at the other two dueling, not to mention the new girl that had shown up. Man, since when did they get so popular.
"Wanna stick around and see who wins here?" He asked, jutting a thumb over at the other two duelists.
Simon grinned from ear to ear. "Oh, you are going to like this." He turned to the crowd as his card activated.
"In the future, there will only be crushed dreams and hopelessness as far as the eye can see! But for now, it is confined to this small space. Behold, the Abominable Wasteland!!"
The dueling area became engulfed in a surge of sand that obscured all vision for a second or two. When the sandstorm died down, the land had changed from bustling city to a dark barren landscape. A sun was in the sky but it only glowed like the moon. The wind was incredibly hot and sticky while the ground beneath them was uneven in every single area.
Simon faced his opponent once more. "What do you think? Like the show so far? Because it gets better. Come forth, Abomination Yreg!"
A grey rat appeared in the space before Simon. However, this particular rat was an eyesore; it had teeth coming out of where its eyes should be, which were looking out through its enormous ears. Its limbs started on its back and bent forward so that it could stand on all fours.
100/300
"Anything to say before you see what this disgusting little thing can do?"
"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior Val

James smirked and said, "I'll take first move..."
He grinned, another good hand for him. An exact combo.
"I'll start by activating Allure of Darkness, letting me draw 2 more cards, and then removing from play Sphere of Chaos from my hand."
The Sphere left his hand into the removed from play zone, and he drew two more cards...
