I liked it for a while, and after not watching it for several months it's entertaining to see it again for a bit. But, honestly, their committment to keeping their characters shallow and immoral while not letting them learn from anything that happens to them . . . eventually, it starts to get boring. In my opinion, any long running show either needs to let its characters personalities develop over time or needs to explore sides to the character we haven't seen before. Otherwise, once I've seen everything their personality has to offer, it's hard to care about seeing more of it.
That being said, "The Gang Gets Trapped" was a comedic masterpiece; easily the funniest episode of the entire series.
I spent last night watching the “Crazy Paddy” clip over and over doubled over in laughter. Does that make me a bad person?
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!Thread-bump-power go!
Currently watching the episode "Who Got Dee Pregnant?" on Comedy Central, and to reference a now-defunct trope, They Wasted A Perfectly Good Plot (although the episode itself was quite good too), because at the beginning Mac, Charlie, Frank, and Dennis are discussing some idiotic plan to go spend the night in the Museum, dodging security guards all night, which probably would have been worth seeing on its own.
God, I love this show. It's a masterpiece.
Fun fact: Dee and Mac are married IRL.
I want to kill peopleOkay, this probably doesn't belong here, but wouldn't Mac be treading towards ambiguously bi/anything that moves??? I know he has gay tendencies what with his obsession with having a catch with [I forgot that baseball player's name] and the fact that he got jealous when the tranny got married, and trying needlessly desperately to impress Dennis and Charlie, but last I checked...He had a taste for older women as well. Plus the episode where Charlie became king of an MMORPG game. When Charlie proposed Mac to watch after Dee, Charlie offered him to date someone within the game, whether the person was male, female, fat, or skinny, or whatever he was into. And Mac didn't oppose in anyway.
Is anybody still watching this show? I'm surprised this is the most recent thread, and its previous post was way back in 2013.
I got into it around Christmas time and binge-watched the first eleven seasons on Netflix, and have been following season twelve as it airs. Holy shit was Dee's scheme in the last episode abhorrent. It was like that time Dennis spent a whole episode getting revenge on a hippie just for calling him a "weekend warrior".
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Really, surprised this thread isn't longer. Anyway, the season has been pretty good. Surprised they actually have Mac staying out of the closet now. I'm still a little bewildered as to why people feel the need to comment on all the swearing. But, I guess, that's one way people stay kids forever: hearing swearing on TV is taboo.
I'd be commenting on this thread, but since I don't have cable, I only watch new It's Always Sunny episodes when they show up on Netflix, so I'm always gonna be a season behind.
I get the feeling Mac's gonna go back in the closet sooner or later and deny he was ever out of it. I'm surprised "Revolving Closet Door" isn't a trope, actually.
As for the swearing, I guess it's just a bit jarring since outside of An Always Sunny Christmas, they never used uncensored 'fuck's on the show throughout the whole first 11 seasons. Whereas this season (probably due to being on FXX) they can say 'fuck' and 'cunt', among other swears, all they want.
Anyway, yesterday's episode was, of course, funny. It's always funny in Philadelphia, after all. Dennis getting an RPG as a gift from Mac was the highlight, of course. My favorite episode this season is still the water park one, though.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I heard they plan on having it stick this time, specifically because of Fan Backlash to having him do it for five minutes and then go back in at the end of last season. The way they did it actually took me off-guard. It was actually sweet, but felt oddly out of sync with the show.
Which I get, it's the kind of joke that you might find funny but eventually just want to come to an end. I don't really get people going "yeah, such great character development!" and "it's so great he's out and pround!", literally nothing about the character has actually changed. If he actually did develop as a character from this, it would kind of be against the entire spirit of the show.

So, uh, the season finale...
Charlie and the waitress had sex. Is she gonna be stalking him now instead of the other way around?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! We've got a date for the 13th season! (September 5th, to be exact.)
they're gonna find intelligent life up there on the moon/and the canterbury tales will shoot up to the top of the best-seller listOh, neat! Was wondering when that would happen.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I wonder how they're going to address Dennis. Is he just going to pop right in the beginning like "Tried being a good dad, it wasn't for me" and that's it, or will he actually be gone for a bit.
That Dennis doll was hilariously creepy.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Wait, it already premiered?
I've never seen The Mindy Project, but I really enjoyed Mindy Kaling in tonight's episode.
This was one of the best episodes in a while. You could even say it was the head cow grazing...
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Anybody else still following this season?
Tonight's made me lose my shit (no pun intended) at the end. I keep forgetting that they're on FXX now and can swear as much as they want.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! And so wraps Season 13.
Honestly this last episode felt a bit weak to me and didn't have any stand-out humor, but otherwise this was a really good season. Like, really good.
I feel like the Superbowl two-parter would have made for a better season finale, it was probably the peak of the season.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh, definitely. The sexual harassment episode was also amazing.
Toe spoon
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Damn, wish I could get a meat cube like that.
they're gonna find intelligent life up there on the moon/and the canterbury tales will shoot up to the top of the best-seller list
Come on, I can't be the only troper that watches this show!
For those NOT in the loop, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is about a group of horrible, horrible people who own a pub in Philidelphia. They have a zany scheme each week that always backfires. Utilizes Crosses the Line Twice so much it'll make your head spin.
