I did the same thing. :)
The Obsidian Destroyer is the best non-hero unit in WarCraft III.From my Steam profile, which came from my interest in Team Fortress 2 shortly after buying The Orange Box in 2009.
I now go by Graf von Tirol.I was the geekiest guy in my class. I once commented that I was a Super Geek. Signed up to a MMORPG (Rune Scape, I believe) and added a 10k because I was 12 and liked Ben 10.
Super Geek10k was taken here. I chose Geek Code Red as in "Oh Shit, a Geek! Code Red!"
My life is really boring, so I really wanted adventures to happen. If a Call to Adventure were to happen to me, I would have Jumped at the Call.
I have always found myself and my train of thought rather random, even though I am not as extreme as other CloudCuckooLanders.
Also, I describe surfing Tv Tropes as a random (ie:unexpected) adventure, so the term stuck.

The Artifact. Is currently Lazy Hazy.Took mine from The Fairly Odd Parents. Initially, on one of the first forums/sites I ever joined, I tried signing up with an "O" in the name, but I somehow messed up during the signup process and decided to retry, substituting the "O" for a zero. It stuck.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.My username has been around for a while, back on the DS was where it first became. I chose something "retro" after, as a young child, I decided that "ShadowDragon" was an overkill name. Ironically, I never owned an NES, but I liked 8-bit sprites a lot.
I, years later, created an avatar based off my username, and the avatar would later become an OC.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaNope. It's the Mettaur, first one in the gallery.
Oh, also: the reason it's Nes and not NES is back then I didn't know that NES was an acronym.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaThe first two letters are the first two of my real name. The next two from my surname Wagner. First, I wanted to stick to these two letters. But Ka Wa sounded kinda boring. So I added the "Escher", a part of my mum's maiden name "Eschersky". For some reason, I love this name.
When I first signed up for a username on a site called Howrse as a little ten year old, I called myself 'Crewehillrider' because it's a site about horses and I rode horses at a stable called Crewe Hill. The friends I made on that site always called me Crewe (because who wants to type out Crewehillrider?), and I've pretty much stuck with that everywhere I go on the internet since.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton! At Texas A&M University, freshman are occasionally called "fish" and seniors are occasionally called "drunk." One day of my freshman year these two things combined to produce a senior who drunkenly combined the words "fish" and "freshman" into one word. She liked it so much, she refused to call me by any other name and constantly introduced me to others by that name, so it wound up sticking as my nickname throughout all of college and beyond.
And also long after she went to Japan to teach English...
If you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy, have some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste.Alright, my origin story isn't as cool as yo guys, but eh, I'll share it anyway
so there was a man on the bottom of a mountain and he went up to me and challenged me to a death race on the top of the mountain. you would have to ride a limo all the way down, no brakes, no emergency brakes, first to make it down wins.
so we made it up to the top, and then we realized that this was no goddamn mountain
it was a volcano
and it was erupting right now
we pushed the gas as the lava oozed down the side, when suddenly his car flipped over and crashed. the lava would reach him soon...
I got out of the limo, ran up and dragged him to the limo and sped down. I won that day.
He told me that for saving his life, he would give me the rights to his username "Peira Issa Noid", the so-called goddess of his people, the Awesomutians.
He also gave me a Walmart gift card.
"we have to get vaccines against hunger"

It's a lightning mantra from a SNES game called Treasure of the Rudras. I just think it sounds pretty badass. I also adopted it as the name of the final villain in my book series.
"You cannot judge a system if your judgement is determined by the system."
