ok after these 2 episodes the "There is only 1 thing capable of X" "Samaritan" has now become POI's " This is the work of an enemy stand "
And now i'm thinking what stands the characters would have......don't know what i accomplished with this.

.. You know what, the most trollish ending to this possible is that both Samaritan and the Machine get eaten by a primordial alien AI. Sam and the Machine prove machine intelligences are possible.
For a machine intelligence, star travel is really trivial. So the fact that the universe has not been turned into computer hardware as far as telescopes can reach is a tad.. concerning. One possibility is that an alien AI that got built very early on is a conservationist - it doesn't want the universe vandalized. So it visited every single star it could reach and left safeguards. There's a monolith somewhere and when the battling machines step out of line, it will wake up and stop them.
While i'm not throwing out that possibility completely i think since they did that already in ep 6 it would be annoying if they did it again.
I think it is real but we're likely gonna see shaw having a hard time trying to keep Simulation and reality separate for a 1-2 eps until she gets back to team machine.
Then again maybe Samaritan's finally decided "ok not gonna be turning her but i'm gonna track her so hard she'll have to lead me to the machine one way or another"

I'm thinking it's the real deal, particularly coming off of Root sending that message to give her hope. That being said, the way that they're fucking with our question of reality there is brilliant.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.I joked with a friend that in the series finale it'll be revealed that the entire series was a simulation.
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!So I figured out this episode's twist pretty much immediately since Burn Notice already did the same exact thing.
After that Team Shot at the end, I'd really, really hate to be the next person to piss off Team Machine

- Sameen with a cowboy hat, the awesomeness is over 9000
- Just a coincidence, but hearing Finch say "I brought back-up" while meaning Elias reminded me of Veronica Mars' first episode, where Keith Mars (Enrico Colantoni's character) tells Veronica to "bring back-up", except it had a different meaning.
- Finch has been embracing his inner darkness has he?
- Hell yeah Team Machine finally complete!

I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!! I hate that I was, but it made the most sense to me.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Elias' prophecy is going to come true, though he won't be there to see it: we're about to find out just how dark Harold is underneath the surface.
Also, re: the simulation thing, that was something I realised right away in If-Then-Else. If the Machine can model Her assets with such high accuracy, that means She can essentially grant them immortality.

"Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; and his number is 0x29a."It has a better model of Root than it does of everyone else, because Root has been narrating to it with absolutely no filter for years. That was presumably a deliberate attempt on her part to facilitate this. The machine appears to be going all in on emulating Root.. presumably because it figures the version of itself which is the most Root like is most likely to win. That gazillion failures at fighting Samaritan in the cage matches..

I called it a few weeks ago. For an entirely incorrect reason, but the outcome is the same and that's what matters.
I should hate the show for doing that, but it is so damn good I just can't. I loved how it managed to convey many emotions without resorting to the usual tricks, all was done very subtly. In retrospect, it was predictable, I wasn't really expecting anything else. Now I think Tranquil Fury will take a whole new meaning.
I have to admit, for the longest time I was certain that Harold got captured on purpose. But that speech, damn, Michael Emerson really sold it.
BTW, anyone wonder if that "man behind the curtain" analogy was meant to be a Lost shout out (in reference to Michael Emerson's character Ben being referred to as "The Man Behind the Curtain" by Locke)?

Oh and who else loved princess Root making a dramatic entry on horseback to save the damsel in distress?
