honestly I find that this distinction between living and Servant Gil that living Gil was stronger to be kinda missing a few points but that's just me.
Secret Signatureif it makes you feel better Grands exist to take the strongest servants and make their powers transcend to greater heights.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I wonder who the other five Grand Servants are.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I am more curious about requirements for being the Grand. Caster, we know they need EX Clairvoyance beyond having absurd power, but everyone else?
Wake me up at your own risk. It's not like there can be only one. For Grand Caster we have at least two candidates, possibly three depending on how you interpret something Gilgamesh said. The previous Grand Assassin is... retired? so to speak, so they'll need a new one. I'd give 99% odds that Artoria will be the Grand Saber in FGO if the story ever implements each one into the story directly.
Frankly, the Grands being just improved vessels that multiple Servants could possibly fill makes me think it'll be a gameplay thing where you can turn one and only one of your Servants of a particular class into a Grand. Like Grailing but better.
^ Iirc it's actually the opposite. It's not that you need to have EX Clairvoyance to qualify but rather that all Grand Casters happen to have it since Clairvoyance is the mark of an excellent mage.

Grand Casters need EX Clairvoyance because the sense of sight is the most significant thing to a mage, according to Waver. They use sight above all else to acquire knowledge, which is how magic and magecraft are attained.
Going off of that, The Old Man in the Mountain is Grand Assassin because he created the concept of assassination, heavily associating himself with the concept of inflicting death.
This is why finding qualifiers for the other 5 is a difficult task, they can't be characterized outside of a weapon or object they wield. And what would you get with Grand Berserker?
Yeah, they're supposed to be the best of the best in their fields, so you'd need the world's greatest or perhaps first-ever swordsmaster, lancemaster, greatest archer, incalculably skilled rider...
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.So I guess Grand Archer needs to be really good at throwing swords.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobIf we follow pattern of the other two, the Grand are probably other characters of Abrahamic tradition.
Grand Rider could be Noah, for being the first sailor and for sailing during the flood.
Grand Saber is most likely St. Michael Archangel as banisher of the Devil, his sword is probably a literal flame.
Grand Archer might be St. Gabriel Archangel whose weapon is the very sound of the voice of God encapsulated in his trumpet.
Grand Lancer would be St. Raphael Archangel, whose spear could be associated to the staffs of the various prophets for its healing proprieties.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, maybe we should try to find the absolutes that tie us.Noah's out because Nasu will just composite him with Utnapishtim, and Gods can't be Grand Servants.
Yeah, Servant categories are basically 'what is this person most famous for?' If they were famous for different things at different times in their lives, you get very different Servants from the same person. Caster is the 'intellectual' class, so you get Gilgamesh the wise, benevolent ruler. Archer is for loners and outsiders with massive ranged firepower, so you get Gilgamesh the selfish, predatory warrior. The Fate franchise does this a lot - consider Saber and Berserker Lancelot, or Assassin and Lancer Li Shuwen.
What's precedent ever done for us?They can't all be Divine Spirits though.

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.A small random question regarding chapter 16 xD: Maiya cuts off Sola-Uiยดs hand off and shoots at it, which is the one with the Command Spells/Seals.
What would have happened to Lancer if Kayneth hadnยดt claimed the extra Command Spell?
A Command Seal being used up doesn't mean the Servant goes away; it just means that the Master now has no real way to control them. A Servant could kill them and they wouldn't be able to stop them, hence why in the UBW anime Caster is able to kill her first Master by manipulating him into using all three of his Command Spells on her. Without the extra Command Spell, Kayneth couldn't have ordered Lancer to kill himself.

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Yeah, good point xD. Tnx for answering.
Let there beeeeeeee, necrooooo!!!
I'm almost done with Megalo Box NOMAD and once I'm done with that one, I'm gonna start watching Fate/Zero.
I actually tried to watch it, but the pilot episode so horrendously written that I actually had to NOPE out of it. I don't know how it was in the original book, but the adapted script was just...unbearable. So this time, I think I'm gonna fast forward the pilot episode and check out episode recap before proceeding to ep 2.
I remember going absolutely wild at watching the clip of Berserker...well, doing anything with his Noble Phantasm. So much that he has been a key inspiration for one of my (currently unpublished) stories' main character.
And I feel that once I get to the proper action, it will drive me insane and I'll probably binging the whole thing - which seemed to be the only form of media consumption I am capable of, now I think about it - in less than a week.
P.S. I thought about a writing a modified form of Servant Summoning Chant to announce necro, but I don't think I can write one without being cringeworthy XP
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.
In CCC they make sure to be clear it's not even his full power too since Servant containers are inferior based on masters and the like.
That's why we work with Elizabeth to hack Caster, Saber, and Emiyas Saint Graphs to make them more powerful than they should be(Tamamo being a Bunrei of Gold fur/Amaterasu means her peak as a one tail is always inferior).
While Gil we just hack his soul to bring out his full power from when he was alive, and he forgoes the upper half of his armor in that state.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
