What if your "source" is a series rather than a single book? Are there more than one of you, are you from the whole series, or only from one book in it?

You're only in one book at a time, though you might be able to meet other versions of yourself, those who have a similar origin soul to yours.

These are called Spinoffs.

Not a good explanation, the trope isn't too relevant. ^^;

Crud, you're on to me. I need stop acting like my Fusion Man account and more like my Philosopher.tongue

@What prevents the gods from taking people out of stories.

The veil, the membrane, the Philospher belt, or what else you call it surrounds each story. It acts like a membrane in that things that belong stay in and things that aren't stay out. Current theory holds that radation unique to every story is what identifies and holds objects and people there. More testing is needed.

[up] That was a mistake, Phil. tongue

Anyways, the Setting is designed to keep track of whatever goes on in said book. If an individual tried to go inside another book, that wouldn't be allowed, since they're not part of the Setting, an omnipresent rule system that detects for any abnormalities.

However, if you have a Library Card, you get to borrow some "time" in another Setting. Once the time runs out, you'll be manually thrown out or Fined, and Fines are something you don't want...

Not an explanation for why gods are avoided, they're generally strong enough to solve problems.

Ah.

... What would a sealed god with the seal temporarily lapsed count as in the event anyone decided to tamper with something so obviously there for safety?

It would result in the foreign God injecting a portion of his own Setting into another's Setting. An example would be that magic would get smuggled into a sci fi world, even though it theoretically shouldn't exist.

If enough worlds fused together would this create an instability would could cause reality to slowly lapse into its self?

Aw man, and I was really starting to like the character concept I was coming up with, which is a rare thing indeed...

Besides, I'm sure you wouldn't. Hell, if someone like me can somehow get an RP up and running relatively smoothly, I'm sure you'd be able to do much better.

You're a great GM, the only thing wrong with your gming is when you're not here. I think every GM has that problem to some degree.
