It has? I don't see the changes on the main article. Or is that what was decided on? It appeared that the TRS article was ongoing, but I wasn't following it avidly.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I thought the new scales had been put on the Main page. They hadn't been. They are now. The old scales are on the discussion page for reference.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Wow, all the subpages need reclassifying. This is a huge task.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"And we figured that simply splitting into subpages by media would work best, considering how many possible classification combinations there are (48, unless my math has utterly failed me, although some of them are nonsensical, like Regional/Physical Annihilation or Multiversal/Species Extinction).
But yeah, huge.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I'll take a stab at it come Friday.
Fight smart, not fair.Crap. I thought the ones that were up when the first thread post was made were the revised ones, and did some editing accordingly.
Ugh, now things are probably all screwed up, and I don't have the time to change stuff at the moment.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpOkay, it's Friday, and I'm only mildly sleepy, I can start on sorting into medium pages, and modifying them to list the stuff right.
Fight smart, not fair.Bump. Anyone have any updates to share?
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I've just been looking at the wicks for this, since I discovered the reworking of the scale. I'm starting to do some cleanup on it but I wondered about the main page and the subpages - I would be happy to sit down and laboriously reclassify everything by media type, but I'm not too confident on the technical side of creating subpages (or using folders?). I also don't know if Deboss has done any work on it - the main page hasn't changed but it would be silly to replicate the sorting if Deboss is doing it in a sandbox mode or something that I don't know about.
Edit: Found the sandbox page (Apocalypse How), there has indeed been some work done on it. I'll start checking whether all the examples have been done yet and carry on if not.

Progress update - I am in the middle of the job of resorting examples. I have reorganised everything by genre, alphabetized them, and am now going through example by example to combine duplicates and re-classify everything. I'm doing all this in text files for now so as not to leave the page missing examples or in a half finished state. I'm trying not to cut anything out unless it's honestly a duplicate, although I am trimming for natter as I go.
I made a thread in the TRS about the exact same issue as this thread, and was pointed here (sort of).
So did this special effort ever get anywhere? If not, then I advocate starting this up again.
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.Looking at the page, it looks like the examples have been reorganised in the subpages, have they not?
I'll take a stab at the wicks.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerApocalypse How A wicks have been sorted.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI knew there was something to do... I'll get the Posleen War Series stuff straightened out after Legend Of Korra.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI don't get how the new classification works. It seems there are huge gaps between the severity classifications. I tried to modify the article on Iji to have it reflect the new classification for the Alpha Strike, but ran into problems; it's not class 2, because the Alpha Strike affects all life equally; it's not class 3 either because, again, it affects all life and has absolutely nothing to do with separate species whatsoever; finally the low-powered version is not class 4 either because there are survivors, the human ones of which have been reduced to pre-industrial/agricultural society (which is class 2). Maybe the descriptions of the classes are just badly worded, and "Species extinction" should be "Nearly all life of all species or at least one dominant species is destroyed", in which case the low-powered Alpha Strike would fit in "Planetary/Class 3"
Where are we at with this?
I got through A and partway through B, but it's too big of a task because it needs huge discussion pulling. Moving this to short term.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerMight it be worth renaming the subpages? I can't help but feel that the actual names of the pages may be contributing to misuse.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Well, the new classification has existed for five years and virtually every sub-page is pretty much still as they stood around 2010. Anyone else think this is in sore need of a cleanup?
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.To get the ball rolling, I believe that the best way to restructure Apocalypse How is for each page to be replaced by the scale (i.e Regional, etc. all the way on to Omniverse, with each folder in the new pages being devoted to the different levels (Societal Disruption all the way to Metaphysical Annihilation). Now obviously, there won't be all severity levels in all pages, and some relatively close in scale (e.g. Local, City and Regional) will have to be merged together, but this would be far better than how it stands now. Any other suggestions?
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.I would propose that currently empty severity levels within each scale subpage should still get their own folders, if only to remind people that they exist and that editors are welcome to search for and add appropiate examples.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
Just what it says on the tin: The scale in Apocalypse How has been reworked, examples and wicks need to be corrected to use the new scale.
