"Simple, I invited some new people to Gensokyo, temporarily, and recently discovered that one of them was a little bastard," she explained, refusing to cease resting her breasts on Reimu's head. "And I just can't monitor all of them easily myself. So, to put it simply, I want the both of you to do it as well."

"So you brought Magic-Mushrooms-san into Gensokyo! ... I'm not surprised at all," Marisa commented.

"I don't want to get burned alive! Even if it wouldn't stick," Eiki replied, her temper overriding any instinctual need to lecture. "You've already done bad enough, I can't put my clothes out!"

Laharl

The demon stepped forward, matching himself with Yuuka. "I guess our danmaku match is cancelled?" Laharl said as he sighed. Was there really going to be a fight? He couldn't help but sense the hostility in the air.

"Gggh.. does this place have against MY PLANS FOR THE DAY OR SOMETHING!? SHEESH!" the demon complained, stomping the ground lightly over and over. First the Witch battle was over with and then now the danmaku battle? Yes, Laharl was pissed.

"Huh?" a vampire came out from the distance. Laharl didn't say anything, he just stood there, watching.

"A-are you saying I'm crippled?" Cyndy demanded indignantly as Eva dragged her further inside.

Heh, I can see what Evangeline means... Yuuka thought. She didn't get a good look under that hood of hers, but Yuuka wouldn't exactly be surprised if that was the case.

Anyway, Laharl was tantrumming.
"I never said it was cancelled," Yuuka pointed out with an amused smile. Turning to her new guests, Yuuka called out to the, "Feel free to settle in! I'll be with you momentarily~"

Yuuka stepped further outside and began to ascend. "Just so you know, plants are off-limits," The flower youkai reminded Laharl. "Can't have innocent lives getting involved, after all!"

Laharl

"Excellent.. AHAHAHAHAHA!" Laharl laughed as his scarf formed into two red wings. With one flap, Laharl burst into the air, causing the ground to shake.

The demon boy flipped in mid air. Laharl still had his arms crossed and that smug smile on his face. His red-eyes lock onto Yuuka as a purple flame burst out from under his feet.

"Now let's BEGIN!" the scarf flapped, keeping the boy in mid air.

"Very well," Yuuka replied, distancing herself from the demon boy. Using her umbrella, the flower youkai seemed to tap at something at either side of her. Small flowers formed and began to float at her sides.

"Guess I'll begin with basic waves," Yuuka said as petal-shaped bullets began to fire. They were weak individually, but covered a wide range before her. Back in the day, when she gave that whole incident resolving thing a try, she had went with this type of offence. It certainly fooled her enemies, who believed her to be weak.

Laharl

The boy watched the patterns with a keen eye. The goal was to NOT get hit and Laharl didn't know the extent of Yuuka's strength. He was in no way going to underestimate her. The boy was normally loud mouthed and obnoxious, but in a new world, he had to be careful.

The boy carefully drifted through the open spaces in the floral pattern, making sure not to get hit.

Alright, time to FIRE BACK!

Laharl raised a hand as he made sure to keep dodging. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA!" out from his hand came an onslaught of large, purple spheres. The orbs ripped through the air, coming straight at the flower youkai. The balls of fire didn't stop, their frequency increased and as did their power.

"Why us? Why not get your shikigami and her shikigami to keep an eye on them? That is why you have shikigami, to perform menial tasks," Reimu complained, wriggling out from underneath the gap youkai. Stupid gap hag... why does she like shoving her breasts onto me so much? I don't have any use for them! You'd have to be suicidal to want to do anything with her.

Evangeline wandered deeper into the house, ignoring the fight and searching for food. She had been taken from her world just before lunch, it was really time that she found something to eat. Inevitably, this lead the barefoot vampire into the kitchen, where she wordlessly stared at the blonde and... were those penguins? What were penguins doing in a kitchen?
"Well... good! I'll just have to burn your clothes off as revenge whenever I see you for the next century," Mokou said, childishly refusing to try and do anything about the fire—not that the immortal really had any ability to put fires out, having skipped over that sort of thing in favour of learning how to throw even more flames at everyone. She hadn't thought this through; in the long run, she would have learned more by not burning up her teachers' houses.

"They're preoccupied," Yukari replied, dismissively, leaning back into her gap. They were, to be fair, actually busy. They were cleaning up the remains of a certain demonic entity, an ill-conceived choice on Yukari's part. It had made quite a mess before Yukari triggered the 'Border Between Intact and Exploded' and left quite a mess behind it.

"C'mon, Rei-chan!" said Marisa cheerfully. "I bet it'll be fun!"

Eiki was growing more and more concerned as more and more of her clothing burned away. Her skirt was basically a charred rag at this point, and her top was still burning. Remarkably, her hat was completely unharmed.

She knew danmaku would not really offer any kind of retaliation, and instead turned to focus on the flames on her arm. Her skin was untouched, but...

"Here, have your fire back," Eiki said, pressing her arm(more specifically, the flames leaping off of it) against Mokou's shirt.

Once Laharl began firing back, Yuuka's own danmaku came to a halt as she began to weave side-to-side. She hummed merrily as she did, almost as if it were trivial. And she was deliberately cutting it close with most of them, grazing against the spheres.

"Not bad, Harlie!" Yuuka complimented, taking out a spell card. "Let's try this one now! 'Reflowering of Gensokyo!"

Giant flowers seemed to sprout from thin air and travelled towards Laharl slowly. Their angles were random, but the speed was mostly slow. Their main purpose was obscuring Laharl's view as he tried to counter-attack.

"...Should we just be wandering around her house like this?" Cyndy asked, trying to keep her voice calm. "What if we come across something we aren't meant to see?"

At that moment, they came across Elly and the prinnies. Elly herself looked surprised, before a glare crossed her face. "Who are you? Intru- wait..."
The gatekeeper thought that over. To have gained access to the mansion, they would have had to avoid detection and slip past her at the front door. That seemed a little bit impossible, really. More guests, then?

"Okay, never mind, but why are you here?" Elly demanded to know. "My master's not here."

"Duh," Cyndy replied, feeling more confident now that she was talking to someone who couldn't possibly be powerful. Face was still hidden, though. "And we're here because... uh... why are we here?" The dragon asked Evangeline. To Elly, Cyndy continued, "And what kind of youkai are those?"

Side note: 8.1.

"Their demons or something. Prinnies," Elly explained impatiently. "Now, answer."

Laharl

Laharl's purple aura blasted out in anger. Yuuka had called him by the forbidden name. "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU, IT'S NOT HARLIE!" Laharl yelled out as he strengthened his projectiles. The spheres grew a considerable size as they flew faster toward the youkai.

The demon continued to attack, not noticing the shift in the pattern. "Wait, huh...?" his anger dwindled as he noticed the danmaku bullets shifting their pattern. They weren't aiming at him, they were aiming.. around him? No, they were aiming at him.

AAHHH CRAP, I'll be hit at this rate.. unless...

Laharl flung his wrist out to the side, summoning up an orbit of purple spheres. They spun around him, intercepting the oncoming danmaku shells. With his light weight and speed, he maneuvered through the rest of the pattern but not without difficulty. Some nearly grazed him but he keep up.

"Ahahahaha!" with the orbiting balls of fire now gone, Laharl raised his hand. "Now it's time FOR YOU TO RUN!" a large sphere of blazing, purple fire built up in Laharl's hand. In the next instant, a large inferno shot forth from the boy's hand. It was in the form of a glowing, purple beam. It ripped through the air and stormed at Yuuka in the next instant.

Yuuka's innocent smile grew wider as she was forced to speed up slightly to avoid the larger spheres. She could just trivialise it and block with her umbrella, but that wasn't very sporting.

Soon after, his attacks relented as her large flowers forced him to begin dodging. But it wasn't loo long before he was on the offensive, doing that little laugh of his and firing some sort of beam. Well, this was a nice opportunity.

Raising her umbrella to point at the oncoming magic, Yuuka sang, "Master Spark~" and fired her own yellow beam of light towards Laharl.

Laharl

"GG Ghhhh..." Laharl grunted as the new beam blasted forth and into his own. It was powerful, really powerful. The boy's own purple beam began to fall back, rushing toward him instead of Yuuka.

"DAMN!" the demon yelled out as he pulled one hand from the purple beam and to his side. It was only going to be a moment, but he was confident he could pull this off. "HAAA!" the boy canceled his beam of energy as he slashed his blade up and into the Master Spark.

That was a really bad idea. The beam literally carried him into the heavens in the next instant...

The demon was out of sight.

"Fine, fine... don't drink all my tea and don't decide to take a nap in my bed after hanging your clothes up to dry," Reimu said, "If you're going to do things like that, do them in your own home."

With that, the miko rose to her feet and walked towards the door, pausing with her hand on the frame as she looked back, "I'm expecting you to take care of any ninja that try to get revenge for losing a fight."

"I was just looking for something to eat," Evangeline answered, continuing to stare at the penguins with a somewhat... twitchy-looking expression on her face, "I didn't expect to find something as ridiculous as demonic penguins working in a kitchen."
The immortal's reaction to this wanton cruelty upon her shirt was... to stand there looking bored. Her shirts got set on fire once every few weeks, at the most. They tended to need replacing a lot more often than that; she'd invested in a fireproof sarashi underneath it all for a very good reason.

She took the closeness as opportunity to reignite Eiki's smouldering skirt and add even more fire to her flaming top, though.

"Not to worry, Reimu-chan," Yukari replied, smiling amiably. "Any ninja who decide to attack will end up regretting it."

Marisa headed out after Reimu, grinning and waiting beside the miko. She was eager to, among other things, possibly beat the living daylights out of Magic Mushrooms-san.

Eiki frowned, then took a step back as she drew a spell card.

"Fine, I'll-"

The flames, having nothing left to burn, went out. Leaving Eiki with no clothing whatsoever.

"E-eeeeeehhh?! Gaaaah!"

She dropped the card and quickly covered herself, going scarlet.

"And I didn't expect nosey little kids to critique the way I run things in this kitchen," Elly retorted, ignoring the fact the prinnies weren't really a part of the staff, as well as Cyndy wildly waving her arms and shaking her head behind Eva's back. "Now, if you think you can stomach penguin-made food, feel free to wait while I make some more, okay?"

Dear god, she's suicidal! Cyndy thought in horror.

Yuuka watched Laharl disappear into the distance with a thoughtful look on her face.

"...Too much, apparently." The flower youkai muttered.

Laharl

The boy was nowhere to be seen. He had vanished into the blue sky along with the large magical beam.

"...ahahahaha..." a faint laugh came to life in the midst of the large blue sky. "ahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" Laharl laughed and laughed as he rode on a large...meteor....

"AHAHAHAHAHA, BOW BEFORE ME, VASSAL!" he continued to laugh. He had his arms crossed on the flaming rock.

He used the sword to ride the Master Spark into the heavens, he got off with a thrust of his body, and then he summoned a meteor.

The red-eyed demon quickly swung his sword downward, causing the meteor to explode. The light created from the blast was enough to blind someone, even for a brief second. In the next instant, Laharl fired a series of large, purple flames that didn't attack Yuuka, instead, they danced around her.

"YOU CAN'T DEFEAT ME WITH AN ATTACK LIKE THAT! HAHAHAHA!"

"Want to go to Morichika and get some tea?"

"A little girl, am I?" Evangeline asked, spreading her arms wide. The reason for this soon became apparent as wires leapt from her fingers, apparently attempting to latch themselves to Elly's limbs. She was, after all, known as the Master of Puppets for a reason. No mere housemaid was going to talk back to her. Besides, it was a breach of etiquette to be rude to the guests.
The white-haired immortal paused for a moment, the ashes of her own shirt blowing off and making the way her sarashi bound her considerable charms obvious, before bursting out laughing.

"The y-yama... naked..." the immortal managed to get out, "Y-you might want to take the h-hat off... I'll give you one of my sh-shirts..."

"Yep," Marisa nodded with a grin, folding her arms as she did. "Getting some tea from Kourin sounds like a pretty awesome way to start off our incident-resolving journey of ass-kicking."

Eiki flushed even redder, covering herself as best she could.

"Sh-shut up!" she said, grabbing her hat off her head and proceeding to use it to cover her lower portions. "F-fine..."

There was a pang of jealousy as she saw Mokou's chest.

"What? Are you really seven hundred?" Elly rolled her eyes. "Fine, but- hey!"

Something latched onto her arms, and Elly tried to pull free. "What the hell're you doing?"

While Elly tried to free herself, Cyndy nervously glanced down the corridor. "Uh, maybe you shouldn't... I hear that woman's really possessive."

"Protective! Elly corrected with a hiss. "And I won't need protecting, that's my job"

And thus, Elly proved by this by continuing to struggle.

"Ah, there we are." Yuuka said as Laharl returned with a meteor. She was momentarily distracted when she glanced down at the mansion with a thoughtful look on her face.

...Either Elly's being rude or the new guests are incredibly rowdy. Yuuka decided, returning to the fight in time for Laharl to blow his meteor to pieces and surround Yuuka with flmes.

"Well, I suppose that little display is deserving of a bow," Yuuka commented with a nod. "But you should wait for victory to demand such a thing of me. My lord." A coy smile on the flower youkai's face as she whispered, "Harlie."

Laharl

"AHAHAHAHAHAHA... HAHAHAHAH!" Laharl's eyes turned a bright orange. He smiled wide, raising a hand into the air. A large sphere began to build up. Second after second, it grew and grew until eventually it engulfed the entirety of the sky. The ground below was tinted with the purple glow of the flaming ball.

"OVERLORD'S..." Laharl brought both of his hands up, smiling wide. "WRA-"

"DOOD!" a penguin stormed out of the house as fast as his tiny legs took him. "SOMETHING IS GOING ON INSIDE DOOD! DOOD!" the Prinny said over and over, looking at Yuuka and then to Laharl. He was on the ground, but he still yelled as loud as he could. He hoped they could hear him.

"SHUT UP! ... OVERLORD'S WRATH!" Laharl swung both arms downward, causing the large sphere to separate into... thousands upon thousands of tinier spheres. He didn't intend on blow up this entire part of Gensokyo, he just wanted to attack Yuuka. The small spheres ripped through the air, closing in on Yuuka. They moved in a blur, breaking through the air as if friction didn't exist.

"I was thinking of just going there and waiting for this to blow over or become something where there's a culprit to blow up," Reimu said, wondering what had happened between Marisa and Rinnousuke to get her to stop calling him 'Kourin'.

"Oh, just reminding you that guests are to be treated politely, regardless of who they may be. Dance for me, little cook, dance!" Evangeline commanded, breaking out into fully-blown evil laughter. Sure enough, Elly would find that the wires were forcing her body—though resistance was possible, if extraordinarily difficulty—to perform half of a waltz. The other half was being performed by nobody, so when it got to the point where her partner would have supported her...
"Well... my house is about ten, twenty minutes from here and in the forest..." Mokou said, turning around and walking confidently towards the bamboo, already off the only path into the place. If Eiki followed, she was going to have an incredibly difficult time of getting out of the place.

"I'm a gatekeeper!" Elly hissed venomously as the strings forced her to dance. At first, Elly thought the blonde gothic girl was a terrible choreographer. The hell kind of dance was this supposed to be? Well, she'd had worse punishments in the past, but the fact that some completwly random stranger thought she could waltz in and lecture her on etiquette?! And master wondered why she hated visitors?
"Stop it! I really will kill you!" Elly growled, any semblance of intimidation lost when she was currently waltzing with herself.

I am taking no part in this, the repercussions will not affect me... Cyndy told herself.

Yuuka whistled. "Yep, that's quite a lot."

A prinny rushed in to warn them of events going on inside, but Laharl paid no need. Meanwhile, Yuuka glanced at her mansion again, even as the orbs rushed at her from seemingly all angles.

At the last moment, Yuuka opened her umbrella, simultaneously reusing her previous spell card to help deflect all the shots. The flowers were surprisingly sturdy, but they fell eventually. That left Yuuka batting the away, still concentrating less on the fight.

Finally, stray orb striking her face brought her back in full. "Oh! Ah, sorry Laharl, I think tempers are flaring up in there." The flower youkai sighed, shaking her head. "Might have to do something about it..."

Satisfied with the win, Laharl flew out of the sky and landed just before the flower youkai's manner. "HEY, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THERE!?" Laharl yelled out and into the Manor. The demon growled as he walked up and through the doorway. "HEY!" he yelled again.

"DOOD, THEY'RE MAKING HER DANCE.. and really badly, dood." one Prinny commented as he walked out to look at Laharl.

"Did he actually have any mushrooms, or have you just been eating things that you shouldn't, again?" Reimu asked, heading towards the outskirts of the forest of magic and Rinnousuke's shop. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise her if Marisa had gone and eaten things that people were best off not eating... like magical mushrooms, or mundane mushrooms that had seemingly magical effects. The witch had told her about the latter, once.

"Unless you stop resisting, you're likely to hurt yourself," Evangeline said helpfully, fully comprehending the reason behind how stilted the dance was. Of course, she could just try and hijack the body entirely and relegate Elly's mind to a hapless observer but that was far more complicated to undo.
The immortal lead the way in silence, each turn taking them further and further from known paths.
