Given the protagonist is Will's son now fully aged it's been some good twenty years since On Stranger Tides, the difference is just age.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."First Logan and now this. Is every teaser for upcoming blockbusters going to use a Johnny Cash song now?
Children of Dievas - my webcomic about the Northern CrusadesSyFy will probably be wanting a check, though.

I can dig it. Though I disagree with that article about 4's quality.

Sooo is this officially the last one then?

Or they've engineered another Two-Part Trilogy out of what happened in On Stranger Tides.
He still hasn't gotten the Pearl out of that bottle, eh? At least the crew's alright.
So, the bad guy looks like Norrington without the honor and decency, which I actually really like. Since it would be out of character for Jack to just have been straight up evil when he started pirating, I get the feeling the villain will have been a nasty Knight Templar even when he was alive to make Jack's actions more sympathetic (even moreso than not considering pirates human - both Norrington and even Will did that too). Like how Beckett had anyone remotely connected to pirates killed, even children.
Though it makes me wish James had survived, even if not as a major character, so we could get that comparison in the movie. Though given Will's job, him riding guns ablaze out of the beyond in the Dutchman alongside the ghost of Norrington in the Dauntless isn't outside the realm of possibility.
I don't think the female lead is going to be an Elizabeth expy (though Will's son definitely looks like a Expy of him, that's probably intentional), since the things we see of her (sneaking around with Jack - albeit in a dress - being hanged for a crime, etc) don't lend themselves to Elizabeth's character type.

Wasn't Jack branded a pirate by Beckett for "stealing" (read: liberating) slaves? Maybe his encounter with Salazar is connected to that (not the initial incident but a later one) - the Spanish weren't exactly innocent.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/They...now that you mention it, I would love for Norrington to be part of Will's Dutchman crew.
Shame it's probably not possible, based on how the mechanics work. The Dutchman takes on the dying, not the dead. Norrington's body was cold for probably weeks by the time Will took over as captain.
I get that. I was just thinking about how funny this movie's title is. If you ask me, Dead Men have Told an awful lot of Tales over the course of this series.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.
tell me about it. When that bald chick was prattling on about the dead ruling the sea, my thoughts were, "so what else is new?" The dead have been making the sea their b*tch since the first film of this series.
I'd actually have loved to see an interaction between Jones, Blackbeard and Salazar.

So they have decided to drop the idea from the deleted scene that if Elizabeth remained true for 10 years and waited for Will then he would be freed from the Dutchman? That’s a real shame, it really made the post credits scene worthwhile.
