Felix walked down the street, humming to himself. His circuit of the casinos had been kind to him today, not that it ever was unkind, he wouldn't be doing what he was doing if there was an element of chance to it. Still, the bouncer rotation and several other factors had been favorable today. Of course, he had to pass a murder scene on the way home, but that probably wouldn't be a problem, despite what certain elements in the paranet seemed to suggest.

"Sir, I understand that you must be distraught over the loss of your friend, but I'm going to have to ask you to leave; this is a potential crime-scene." Torres said as he stepped out of the squad car."If you have information that you believe to be relevant to the incident here, I suggest you come down to the station with us; we'd like to ask you a few questions."
Felix crossed the street. There were people outside of Watkins, official-looking people, and although Felix didn't have anything to hide, he certainly didn't need to be pulled into any of this. As he passed the Emporium, he reconsidered it. On one hand, it was a crime scene, but on the other, it surely couldn't hurt to do a little sweep for preternatural weirdness. The Paranet certainly could need the help. Also, there was her, but no need to bring his silly crush into this, relevant or no. He smiled to himself, he'd have to do some sleuthing. Returning to the casinos for the next couple of days would be unwise anyway.

Liveblog | DeadblogThe woman on the Motorcycle raised a small Spyglass to her eyes. Something was...odd with the Man. Which either way meant it might end not very well for the Police Officers. Slowly she pulled out a burnphone and dialed the police emergency..."Hello, Police? I think I saw somebody entering a Building, and...and..I think he had a gun!" and as the Operator asked for where she gave him a adress a block down from the Emporium before she cut the connection.
Slowly she raised the spyglas again, waiting for a reaction.

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave the area; this is the scene of an ongoing investigation." Torres said as he eyed the man in front of him. "I don't know what you're into, but it'd be in your best interest to leave now...unless you'd rather take a trip downtown and explain this." he said as he gestured to the remnants of the emporium.
"Hey Torres, call just came in. " Jenkins said as leaned over the divider. " Suspicious male, possibly armed; we gonna take this one?
Torres kept his gaze on the man for a few seconds before backing away and stepping into the cruiser. "I don't want to see you here when I get back." he said through the window."This is Torres, copy that 10-66; we're on our way." With no time to spare, the two were off, leaving Mohan standing by himself.
I'm operating under the assumption that we're rebooting the story. Miles Raster coming by.
Miles Raster was inbound on foot for Watkins' Emporium when he saw the police blockade. When he'd finally gotten the news it had already been two days; he came up on the corner in time to see the police officers leaving—and, oddly enough, an eight-foot-tall figure booking it the other way.
Which was a suspiciously appropriate start for an investigation. Miles had spent enough time in the shop to know Watkins decently well, and though he didn't expect to find much after two days eight-foot-tall magical things were unusual enough. He approached the store more slowly, trying to keep a visual track.

After she was sure he would not turn around she climbed down her motorcycle and picked up the long, slightly curved wooden casing on it, fastened it at her combat belt and tried to conceal it as much as possible under her mantle before heading out of the sidestreet towards the .
"You can reply to this Message!"Felix continued on his way, this place was way too crowded for his taste, especially considering the nefarious activities he no doubt had to undertake to get any closer to the truth. He adjusted his bandanna as he passed the store, perhaps he should set up a meeting with one of his contacts, that could be useful.
Liveblog | DeadblogMohan knew it was impossible to hide so he took to doing the opposite. He headed towards the place with the most lights and sounds and people and strutted around with all eyes on him and his eyes all over them. You couldn't see the way his three eyes darted about suspiciously under his veil, a drape thrown over his whole head and secured by hidden hooks and straps.
It's hard to look suspicious when you take pains to be conspicious.

Watkins' Emporium
The sun was at it's apex when Officer Torres drove his squad car down the relatively empty street, he was half an hour away from his shift being over when he received a call about a suspicious person."Do you know where we are?" he said to the man next to him. "Umm, Liberty right?" the younger man responded. "Good one Jenkins, and do you know why we're here?" he continued. "The Watkins guy was murdered a few days ago, and there were reports of gunfire in the area last night."
"Right as well." Torres said with a grin. "That's why this report of a guy squatting in front of a recent crime-scene is worth investigating."
Torres drove down the street until he had the Emporium in his view, maneuvering the vehicle to the front of the store, he rolled down his window and took stock of the mystery man standing there.
"Sir, are you aware that this is a recent crime-scene?" Torres said from the drivers side.
